A lot of the RPG games that I play have a form of Caller, or a person that is capable of summoning creatures. I think that with a bit of elbow grease, this would be an exellent addition to Nightmist and change it up a bit. Opinions?

I was thinking that you were referring to a summoner, actually.

I think it would deffinately make things interesting, any way you look at it.

What the what?

quote "JLH: i will not do any more major changes to nightmist 1" well not an exact quote but that's what he once told me ^_^ and i would think a new class would be a major change :P

Umm a Necro basically is a summoner.

I was thinking a summoner in a different sense. A powerful creature who you summon and control.

For example, in the final fantasy series (Specifically 10). That kind of summoner was the kind I was thinking she meant.

What the what?

Yes, how did you know! Well, it kind of gives it away that I called it a 'Caller,' but yeah.

One of the best class suggestions that I have seen is the Shaman, first conceived about the time I first started playing Nightmist.

While JLH has said that there will be no new major changes to Nightmist, he and Pandilex are noting down ideas for Nightmist II. You never know, a good race might get in.

A fair few RPGs do have some kind of Summoner-like class. From my experience, a Necromancer tends to summon the undead and a Summoner is like a cross between a Druid and a Shaman, summoning the elements - I might be mistaken though. A Caller I am not sure about; if they summon or call upon the assistance of live animals, would that not be more Druid-like?

The way I see it is:

Summoner - summons monsters are their primary method of "attack", has buffs, debuffs, etc as secondary attacks. The attacks tend to be more elemental based.
Necro - has life taps, DoTs, buffs, debuffs, etc as primary. Summoning is usually a secondary attack. The attacks tend to be more dark based.
