I don't think it would be too hard to code, and would mean that ppl in different time zones can trade with each other easily.
It's just an idea!

Smart man/trade Crit1, Eq1, Eq2, Eq3... etc
If you want to make sure its not naked, trade for the crit and the eqs you want.
I'm not too sure how to fix the EXP thing though

Don't create problems, it's the original idea you should be considering. Leave the rest to the creator. How do you prevent someone messing up the crit after offering the memo trade?
You may be expecting it with full eq, and get it naked, majorly under exp. You'll say you could check the exp before the trade, but then, you don't listen to the whole 'don't share' thing, so why would you listen to that?
I'm afraid I'm against it.

The reason why they want the character to be locked is to prevent the character from being modified between the trade offer and it being accepted/declined. The trouble is, it is hard to stop a player stripping the character down and giving their items to a covert thief before the trade is initiated. To be honest, there is no real substitute for being cautious and sensible, such as listing the pieces of equipment individually in the trade.
I am reluctant to air my full support at the moment due to a few loopholes, but the concept is sound enough.

It could simply lock characters so they cannot be played or altered until the other person accepts or until the person requesting the trade gets bored of waiting.

I didn't justify what I'd said? You may be expecting it with full eq, and get it naked, majorly under exp.
And I didn't suggest a way around it?Worse comes to worse, ask a staff member for some help. It is their job, and if they're not willing to help, then they're lame-asses.
It got solved. I hadn't thought of that, he had a valid point and I was wrong, big whoop.Smart man/trade Crit1, Eq1, Eq2, Eq3... etc

There I go, not suggesting anything again.Only things I can think of for the exp, is an addition such as 263,000,000exp+ (meaning the trade voids if the crit falls below 263mill exp).
OR; locking down the crit (unable to be played till trade's done)- But then people could purposefully not cancel or accept the trade.
That doesn't exactly solve anything, and would prove my entire 'cover up the gaps' part.If you want dictatorship I'll delete your forum account, and if you have any ingame characters I will delete them
More that I shouldn't have reason to. To be honest, I don't think I've ever had a dig at another staff member.Lastly you shouldn't make ridiculous attacks on the staff
