Dunno, I was thinkin how it'd be cool if a boss changed pics. Like at healthy have a pic then slight have a different one and so on. Mabey a druid boss as Oriel suggested. Or mabey like a Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde. Each time the pic changes he gets more mad, and hits for more.
Was also thinking of a boss that moves. Could be implemented with this one, or not. Like when it turns slight, he'd more to another set square and the party would have to move to that square to get it to mod. Then at mod, do the same thing, move to another square and the party has to follow it. Might be too much of a hassle but would put a lil something extra to the boss. Instead of sitting and holding macros you gotta move a lil bit. Might be far fetched or what not, let me know what you think.

I think both ideas rock, I'd really like to see the change of pic one.

And is the boss moving, kind of similar to Sylva in the SDG, cus you never actually 'kill' her, cus she runs away...

I like it, but there aren't enough pics as it is, having to create three seperate ones for each boss would be a pain in the ass to do.

Why not have people send in pictures you, of monsters and the like, that way this could happen, it would be quit interesting to see. The pictures changing and them getting madder, and then running away.

I think JLH is always happy to have possible pictures sent in to be added to the game if you email them to him, (/who JLH). If he gets enough maybe he will consider the idea Smiley

Not bosses already ingame. I was just thinking of new ideas for new bosses, and Thnx to everyone that replied.

maybe it doesn't have to be a different pic...maybe the pic's opacity is the only thing that changes...as the crit get weaker, the image start to disappears.

--just a note: this idea isn't that great, but it's a solution to having to create more pic--  (why isn't it great?  if a square have more than one monsters that are mortally, players that use pic to determine which monster is which will have trouble figuring out the monster)

What I most agree with is the boss moving grids at levels of damage. This would assist in making it more than just sit n click. For example, when you first arrive at his boss, he may only have a few relatively weak cronies to back him up, when he gets mod, he may move to a room with more of this same 'tame' opponent, just a greater number of them. When he gets to mort, he does the bolt to the barracks, where there are very chunky 'grunts' that will deal considerable damage to the players, and would provide enough of a distraction that players would feel obliged to dispatch them. These 'grunts' or 'cronies' would need to have a relatively fast hit rate, as they need to provide amiable back up in their 'bosses' need.

good ideas.

quick question: what if people just wait on the mort square until it arrives? this would cause quite a bit of contreversy (sp?)

Thats what i said about the whole moving boss thing.  I think bosses that drop keys to the get to the next boss would be much more satisfactory.

I'm thinking special attack as the boss's hp get lower...

Like...in the beginning, it's just playing with you (slap you around with his hand), thinking that you're weak.  Then, when it's finally damaged, the boss get serious and start drawing out his sword, doing his speciall attack and such.
