You cast meditation, enlightening your mind and spirit.

Description: Mages are taught first and foremost to concentrate their mind and spiritual powers through meditation, strengthening their magical gifts. (so it's half baked and crappy, try coming up with a better one)

Effect: causes a lvl / 2 (I.E., lvl 12 = 6 intel) intel increase.

Casting it requires as much mana as divine prayer, lasts for 2 minutes and it is learned at lvl 10.

No.

Maybe like level 25. I'm not sure what the mana cost is on DP... But it would have to be around 25-30ish. Since the level requirement could not be so low, I think the description and possibly even the name need a little tweaking. Good thoughts though.

Edit: Plus two minutes is a long time.  :P

so at lvl 30 its a 15intel increase? so basically now i can do the equicalant of a smite 4 times in a row after casting....Godly

15 int is like only 15 more damage. Still not as much of an increase that Enhance + RF have. I like the idea. However I would rather see a variety of new spells that could aid mages, not just 1.

i thought intel adds 2 damage, but still, not that bad, maybe lvl/3 rounded down?

thought it adds 2 damage too. so it would be 30 damage an attack. so 150 more damage a round. that's alot :D

Wisdom is a lot more respected by players now . . . and with beam damage lowered and fizzle/resists highered mages have become very weak . . .

My mage is usually lucky to get 3/5 beams in and then it usually max's out at around 130 damage for the round . . .

While the average round for an Arch Zerker and Arch thief is around 220 damage . . .

Mages really do need something . . . And I think with a high casting mana cost this could be the awnser

Yeah I didnt some testing...your all quite right. 1 int = 2 dmg. Although the randomness of damage still evens it out.

average isnt that low....ive seen berserkers do around 300 on avarage a round, and thieves to about 350
