Saw this in the ranger discussion, and thought it would be interesting who had the patience to level them from level 1. I'm leveling Reflex at the moment, and he's level 10.. Lost patience, and I have no idea where do train him.

Sugah was originall a mage, lvled it to lvl 27(had the exp for lvl 29-guild wasnt built yet), then deleted it. Made too other mages, got them to lvl 25 and deleted, then made old fart and lvled it to 30, got down to 82mil exp, then lvled it back up to 250mil....so yeah..ive done alot of mage training

Tolken was my original mage, and also my second crit.  His old stats I forget, but his stats right now are x 20 18 18 20 18.  It took me about a really long time to get him to level 30, and the constat pks while training didn't help.  And about training your mage, I recommend arena training until you get Flame or Blast.  Then, if you have stronger crits, take your mage along with them in a group in the Large Forest or the Lost Trail.  Just watch out for pkers... ;)

My first mage was the original melfice a human mage with really really bad stats :D but it was my first ever crit so  :D  got rid of him obviously.  Second mage was Valmar, it was something like 17 21 19 18 20 12 i think, he was stolen and sold on and he has been level 23 or something for nearly a year or more.  I also had espio can't remember stats exactly but was definatly x 21 19 18 20 x sold him at level...18 i think.  

Had a few others as well but i always seem to give up and sell them becasue they are hard to train.  I am however just starting a mage right now.  He will be the new melfice as a 1 off 6 stat elf mage, so look out for the future, i plan on sticking with this  ;D

wonderful_nightmare trained him to arch like 2 years ago lol.

he's a 4 stat gnome. got him to 350 mil exp now he's down to 300 or so lol

skull.... took about a month to get him to 12, gave up and bought a blast mage coz i wanted invis and vortex.. never trainined him now has about half the xp he needs for his CURRENT level...

name is admetus. trained him from lvl 1 to lvl 26. 4 mil off from 27 and i think mages are really bothersome to train even though they are my favorite class. i mean if i had been training maybe a ranger or fighter i could probably have had them to arch a long time ago so i think what needs to be done is that alot of the creatures in nm need to have their wisdom lowered so mages hit for more, not alot but maybe like 20 damage more, so that they get more exp per hit.   Admetus kicks ass btw. He can take down 3 adept paladins, a cleric, and a druid.  At one time  ;D.

Not training atm, but soon I'll get really busy on him agian.
Good thing about having other crits, I can go to them when I get tired of beam, beam, beam, use mana cystal.... repeat...

but the aura of protection is great.. fully loaded I get 125 armor.
Have to say though that my favorite is druid. 132 armor with full armor and spells, plus stormwrath isn't much lower than my mage's beam.

Um, I'm not really sure, maybe fixed? All I know is, the more armor you originally have, the higher your armor will go when you cast it.

I don't have a mage with AoP but I've read that it is armor*2.5. Just going with what I've heard.. might be wrong.

yes. AoP is 2.5 times armor. I tested it with wearing only an amulet - with AoP I had 4 armor!!! wohoo. then fully loaded, 50 armor gives me 125 ac.

I just started training a mage bout a week ago
Admetus has been givin me pointers
They are definately tough to train, but at least they show signs of priomise on lvl 15 lol
mines on 17 right now...cant wait to get 3 whole stamina!! lol

I have Silverwizard a lvl 22 mage who refuses to go past approx 60% of the way to lvl 23. I really am getting annoyed by him.
