having lvl'd a mage in johanna using vortex it made me think, i never find the use for vortex but decided it cud be usefull, can anyone tell me where i can use vortex and where it would take me too. Thanks :D

hey now, where's the fun if we just tell you where to get use vortex gate? ;) why don't you just go around the realm looking around looking for a 'magical aura;' usually that means you can cast it successfully...

....but if you're too lazy I guess I'll tell you the ones I know...
- Tiggy's Magic Shop (brings you to a shop where you can buy a 'scroll of vortex gate')
- The Spider Queen's Sanctum (warps you to the Boars Tusk Inn)
- Captain Wyslen's Room (Boars Tusk Inn....I think :-/)
- The Jahanna Magic Shop (level 25-29 mage guild?)
- Desert Maze (go find out yourself, you'll be pleasently surprised ;))

there's probably a few I forgot to mention but oh well lol

There is one outside the CG chambers, and one you need to get to the chameleon inside the gnome caves. The one at the bottom of the rope ladder was removed.

the one in captains wylsen room sounds kinda useless lol if you can go to control room from there lol :D

edit: they should remove that one and bring the one at rope ladder back :D

a lot of vortex gate locations are useless since you could always log on and off to get back to your local...

that doesn't mean that it isn't fun to step through a portal and scare all the noobs ;D

it was rumored that since vortex gate is near obsolete and flat out useless that pandilex was working on a new area that either had heavy use of the Vortex, or completely re-vamped it. In anycase the mages are the last of teh classes to be balanced out. I hope that something is done about this useless spell.

One of teh last classes? Fighters still need something done to them since a lot of the other classes got something.

The point was POSSIBLY, that MAges will be the last to be revamped.
