theif armor isnt very good we theives need armor that we can equip that raises or armor decently

It's not THE armor that's wrong... it's the total AC.

The highest I got my ac up on a halfer is to 80 and that's with AOH BB 4 CR's etc etc

where the ranger has about 100 ac.

Dwarves get like 60-70 armor which is useless against zerkers.

Thieves have lower chance in moshes due to lower armor and no covert abillity.

With covert lower AC was justified but there is no Covert possibillity in Moshes so Thieves due to low AC have become obsolete people mostly use Zerks for huge amount of hp's and Rangers for high dmg and high AC =(

I think the armor's fine since assassinate ignores armor...it seems to balance out pretty well to me.

thieves aren't fighters, they don't need better armor, or more armor, but they should dodge more. it would only make sense that a class characterized by it's dextrous and acrobatic nature would be most identifiable for those characteristics.

Yes a theifs atk may be low but thats why you use assassinate which does between 5 and about 120

when was the last time you saw a thief in a suit of armor, never. there always in thin robes or dark cloaks. not very protective. giving them great armor doesnt really make sense.

exactly, they are not a heavily armored class, but they are a dextrous and agile class, they should be able to dodge a bit more.

Very good point Kazul. We should be able to dodge much more than we currently do. The armor is fine in my opinion for the reasons stated above, Thieves would not be wearing heavy armor.

what about the fat ones??
aren't they still heavy tho?? and less agile? they miss alot :-/

Well the class relies on Dex for everything so why not to dodge and not the clothing they are wearing because it is only so possible to have armour you can move in as well as protects you. Thieves strike quickly from the shadows then run not stick around for a knife fight.
