Hey people,

What's your opinion about the best race for a thief?
a dwarf or a halfling?

and with what kind of stats?

I have been trying an experiment. I now have an Arch Gnome, arch Human, Arch Dwarf, 27 and 26 Halfling. My Gnome and Halflings are great for stealing. As for Hp - Dwarf has highest, Human is next.

Assassinate attempts - I am finding my Halflings are regularly hitting for more damage than my dwarf, but the max damage from the dwarf has been about 30 more than my halflings.
It's not a real great comparison because of levels, but I figure my Halflings will be able to outperform my Dwarf at arch.

I dunno why, but Humans have always stood out as being better than both Halflings and Dwarven thieves. Although, saying that, i have two arch and a master halfling :-/

I dunno.. They just seem to stand out more when i train them or use them.

Anywho, My human thief is my best so far... its been easier to level, and its doing more damage, more consistantly than any of the 7 halfer thieves I have..

And I havent tried a dwarf thief just cause :P

few months ago I would have said Halfling over Dwarf and Human over all. . .

However it seems that assassinates hit a ton more now and Dwarves hit very nicely and seem to leave other classes behind

so imo atm Dwarf thieves are best

personally i like dwarf better... i never saw a halfling thief hit for near 450 damage lol and they do seem to hit very often with dex mods
