With 21 con, a dwarf can get anywhere from 8 to 12 hp/lvl I believe. With 18 con, a Halfling can get 7-11 or 12/lvl.

You may find this helpful. I just started my first thief (a halfling) and my hp gains have been between 7 and 9 per level. I don't think I've gotten 10 yet. I must just have bad luck.

Because a dwarf fighter got 26 at arch, dwarf thieves should be able to get 13.. interesting reasoning there...

well i got a lvl 27 dwarf theif and its never got a 12 but then again there are dwarf theives with 330+ hp so that means that they got about 10.5 per lvl so maybe there are 12s or even 13's and we all suck and they are good at getting hp ... maybe

Errr.. I actually got 14 once on a dwarf fighter.. My first ever dwarf fighter, going up to level 13 i think it was.. Only ever case i've heard of a 14, and never seen it since.
Please correct me if im wrong.. JLH or Pan rather than a player who thinks they know it all..

No 12's there, but i was training a druid yesterday (elf 2 short on wis) and kept getting 8-9 mp per level, but once i got a 10 (which my perfect elf druid got every time).
i know thats MP but there probably is a chance of higher hp with dwarves too
