Whenever I attempt to use the trading portion of the webpage I get the following error message:

"The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings."

That appears at the top, then a bunch of 'helpful' suggestions that have yielded nothing as of yet. Finally, at the end of the page there is this:

"Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer "

This happens on any of the trading area links. When I go to 'Search Players/Clans' it allows me to type a name in, then when I hit search I recieve this same message.

I can use the current players link, and the clan link, but that is pretty much it.

As everyone else seems to be able to use these functions of the site, the problem must be on my end, but I don't know what it could be. I am running Win 98 and access the internet through AOL. Any help, from any one, would be appreciated.

all interactive stuff goes via port 8080 to the game server, not port 80 (the main website).
try start - run - command, hit enter
type in
telnet www.nightmist.co.uk 8080
hit enter
what happens next?
ideally you'd get a blank box, that means you connected to something.

hmm, wonder what you connected to, i have to admit, i don't know too much about aol's browser system, so not sure what the problem could be. ring aol's free tech support line?

please let me know the outcome, as maybe they have a solution i could somehow build in to the website
