I deleted my windows default sounds (windows starting up, shut down, critical batter, downloads complete) by accident. (in a different file, thought they were copies)

Anyone know where i can get new sounds, replace the old sounds?

control panel, add remove programs, windows setup, and it'll be an option in there somewhere depending on your windows version.

i've not seen many themepacks out really, you could look in the menu above for some on the windows cd.
windows (95) used to come with 4 extra schemes, not sure about newer ones, i think xp has the jungle theme pack

if you go into control panel and choose soumnd options you can designate things such as start up music if yu have music on your computer they have to be wav files
