nightmist not closing properly

each time that i get d/c from nm (when i log on a crit and get d/c right after) the window closes but the program doesnt. i noticed this because when i logged off my account thing (using xp) is said 9 programs running. so i logged back in. no windows open. hit ctrl+alt+delete and it shows that Nightmist is open x9. is this some sort of compatibility between nightmist and windows xp? (i dont have this problem on my other computer which has windows 98)

The one reason I can give to u for this happing is focus issues even when I'm loged on some times windows dose not focuse on nm so I have to go in double click it to get it nightmist to come fowerd and appear on the task bar.... I'm not shure what the reason
