Umm new to the forums, and only been playing for about a month or two... but anyway, i get the "Connecting" problem as in the last thread, except mine doesn't go away with the "Alt. port/DNS" and i dont have a firewall, so what else(if anything) could be the problem? i have tried re-installing the client several times, formatted the HDD that Nightmist is located on, done sys recover... re-installed windows,(win 98 Second Edition)and the problem is still there.. could anyone help me? The_Seito.

All I get is "Connection Failed, could not open a connection with www.nightmist-online.co.uk", the the second time I tried, it said: "Connection to host lost."...this one has stumped me (even though I don't know ANYTHING about servers and hosts and stuff like that), wonder what could be the problem? sorry if I sound pushy, but I haven't played NM since Feb 8th.. and for me, that's a killer

use the number 20000 instead, does the same occur? if so, it looks like some sort of firewall is blocking telnet/nightmist from connecting.

Hmmm but then again, that doesn't make sense because i could connect and play it fine a week ago. Anyway, i use Paradise.net (New Zealand) ISP to connect through.. That's why i sent you an e-mail( i don't know if you ot it or not )saying that I had heard that Halor had banned all 203.xxx.xxx.xxx (Paradise.net)IPs, but ater on MSN he told me that that wasn't the case. But anyway, I'll contact my ISP and see what they say about it, and get back to ya Thanks for all the help by the way
