Title: Yet Another New Class: Demon
Post by The Mecrenary on 02/21/04 at 21:31:46
Hooray, another new class idea. ::)

Pacifists can't attack players!  Why not a class that can ONLY attack players?

halflings and elves cannot be these.

These get stamina at level 5 10 15 20 25 and 30 (hey, it makes sense!)

Healing hurts them (Like the demonic soldiers).

They get exp by killing players, I can't come up with a decent formula for this... maybe just like monsters?
Their spells are:

Level 1:  Corruption; Drains a quarter of the remaining mana from the target and transforms it into exp * 50.

For example:  a Cleric has 100 mana.  A Demon comes along, casts corruption.  The demon earns 1250 experience, and the cleric has only 75 mana left.

Level 5: Hatred: Alike to the berserkers rage.

Level 7: Destroy: Takes half of casters mana and hurts someone for half that amount, takes all stamina.

level 10: Ray of Evil.  Does 30 damage, costs 10 mana.

level 15: Curse:  Alike to divine light.

level 18: Accursed Haste; like blessed haste.

level 20: Sacrifice:  Kills one person, takes all stamina, the person doesn't lose exp.  And the caster loses all hp and mana except for one.

level 25: Fire of the Underworld; Hurts everyone on the square for 50, does 50 damage to the caster, takes 50 mana.

level 30: War; misguides blows so they hit other people than intended, still has a chance of hitting target.  Drains half of casters mp and hp.

Ermm.... this is kind of a weird idea... opinions?

Something similar was suggested before I think. I kind of liked the idea.. But dang, healed to death? You'd have to have some sort of natural resistance to being healed, otherwise what.. 550 possible damage per full round for a Pacifist..

Depurate wouldn't work on them b/c it would be a player, not a NPC. so around 75 a hit.

What about Divine Restoration? That can do around the same (with the right cleric).

This class would need mega HP to be able to survive..

Hmm... sounds interesting. With a little changing, I think it could be quite good.

I really am against this idea, all it does it say PK PK PK PK PK PK PK  and we already have enough of that.

Another thing I'd like to add, why put in a class that promotes something that is overly done?  Theres too much pking as it is.  This class would only hurt the cause to stop pking.

Their method of training effectly diminishes the training of other classes also, and whos to stop you from training on your own crits?
