I have noticed people just have 1 druid/mage and just thieves

now how often do you see a army of assassins ? I mean because groups of 9+ thieves is just insanity  and I think some sort of limit should be put in

and dont say "well u dont do hit and runs or have never used thieves like that"
because yes I have done both

and I still say a limit should be put in

Not going to suggest a limit though? Just do as most others and throw a random idea into the air and hope someone else catches it?

For what reason wouldn't thieves work in a large group?

something tells me if I hear the sound of 8-14 covert people walking around I am going to turn around/spot at least some of them


what I am driveing at is... a army of 20 people cant sneak up on someone

That's true. Yes.. Still doesn't answer any of the questions. Why can't their be a large group of thieves working together (in the first post, you refered to the fact htey couldn't, but didn't say why).

And also, what sort of limit do you suggest?

let my rephrase that


you can have however many you want but they suffer a chance of being uncovert if 4+ when you enter the room




5 = 35% chance or something around there
6 = 40% chance
7 = 45% chance and so on

and so on

maybe the limits are a bit to harsh or go up to fast


5 = 25
6 = 30
7 = 35

and so on

Are you assuming a Druid/Mage is leading and is Invis? I've always seen it as the Mage/Druid is carrying the party, hense the party not losing anything while moving..

If just a party of thieves, I think possibly 5+ should have a higher chance of stam lose while running around covert. But nothing else.

95% of the time the party leader is a mage/druid invis and leading the party

a thief never leads the party

Why must we penalize only one class?  You can't implement something because of a "probable situation."  Not everyone uses that same exact alt layout.

why do people keep comparing this game to real life... screw the probability of someone 'hearing' covert thieves on a square.. this limit thing is just not going to work.

if this doesnt get put in druids/mages shouldent be able to lead partys with thieves then


or  dos/emmy dagger base should be lowered by 1-2 because right now they are far over powered

They're not over powered at all. It's just the element of suprise is all.

And why should a single thief suffer, just cus ten others are seen as too powerful.

If you had 10 of any class travelling around and attacking they'd be overly dangerous, you could invis pretty much anything if you felt like it, just more mana than people want to use.

I think it could be reasonable to say thieves can be spoted covert even if they're not leading the party, but only by other crits, and i would suggest it as only normal likelyness to spot, and only by equal or higher leveled crits.

Grow up..i had a party of 10 thieves hit and running my party in zeum, logged onto alts and killed a couple of them..they were still hit and running, killed off the whole party, which is pretty gay when you've got 10 thieves and you're attacking a party of 4, but ppl do what they can and what's best for their crits.  Learn to deal with it, the game isn't made for you not to die.

its quite simple... 25 people cant be covert all in 1 little room hell there is no where to even hide in desert whats he going to hide under... sand ?

Lol, this post was obviously made by some n00b
who one day got ganged up on by a bunch of thieves.  And trained thieves WOULD be able to sneak up on someone.


For Example:  Robin Hood's Merry men, they have like 10 guys hiding in a forest.

Maybe you could make theives has a covert BONUS in these areas...

Thieves are fine the way they are.

why not have a army of hidden theives? i mean if you think ' oh look a little mage out in the large forest by him/herself. let pk him/her for poop and giggles.' and when you do you get surprised because that "lil mage" is leading an army of theives to go on a quest and you just have to intervein. And besides you will see about 10+ armies of all classes running through Nightmist(game wise) and pking ppl. So don't down thieves they are good as they are. you guys already down the paci's because of their JZ and we don't need anymore downed classes

Gotta disagree rappy, this idea is extremely lame, maybe your simply stating it since you dont have the ability at the moment to run around covert on many thieves to kill people.

I suggest you dont post suggestions that limit others for the main fact you cant perform it yourself at this stage, and I highly doubt this would be suggested if you DID have the ability too...
