i think that a cool class on nightmist would be a red mage type thingy

a red mage is good with attack spells, but isnt that bad on the attacking side either. they use swords.
while they arent the best with normal attacking, they hit for ok amounts, and are kinda like fighters fused with mages, but with lighter armor.

they could use some of the same spells as mages, such as beam, but it is a bit weaker. they coulod gain stamina faster than mages.

isnt it annoying when ur using a mage far from town, and you run out of mana? you atomatically think ur screwed, but red mages dont need to worry. they are good without mana too.

i know that this needs a lot of work, and maybe it is a dumb idea, but i would like to hear everyones insight about this.

Perhaps we should just create a class called:

The Ultimate Class

It would be able to use all the best mage spells, it would gain stamina faster, it would have the HP of a berserker and would be able to equip any type of armor/weapon.

At least if we did that, we wouldn't get these stupid kind of ideas.

Did you even read the first post?

You basically want to take all the good things from several classes and throw them into one uber class.

You're missing the point.

You're suggesting we take a mage and a fighter and fuse them together. You're suggesting we let someone go around, swinging a halberd that shoots "Beams of pure light at you."

I don't think you've thought this through. Instead of being creative, you just want to make a class that is better than the rest.

I agree with Mip in this case, no point to a fighter-mage because they own all others by hitting them with weapons bigger than your head and also going invis before they do it while hasting themselves, why just not give them berzerk to round it out.

We are saying that it is a bad idea and we are pointing out of the faults. I also am kinda pissed because the battlemage was recently suggested and it also was dumb.

SOMEONES been playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance... Get your own ideas, you could have at least changed the class name, but even then, it still would have been ever so transparent.

Red Mages are basically in every Final Fantasy (From I to X-2, to FFXI and even FFTA [I even think they're in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles]).

Um..its a bad idea thats all there is to it..and Final Fantasy isn't 'gay' its a good series of games.

No. He suggested that they use swords, not halberds. A halberd is not a sword.

The idea isn't bad actually. To make it balanced however, it would require totally new spells, not just modified mage ones.
