Well if the game is down that usually means that the server comp is down or not on the internet so the site and therefore your chatroom is down.

Takes about 20 sec to set up Yahoo! (that's on my crappy compaq with netzero dial up connection -sucks btw-)

Java Chat is easy to set up. or I can point you to a place where they'll help you make a NM room on an actuall Chat Server. (I used to help run it ;D)
I'f it's ok with staff, and you really want to go through the trouble..

Staff has to ok it first tho.
