I find it just a bother having to click 14 times to fill up my inventory and annoying to have to watch everyone else buy 14 individual items...

Maybe it could just say:
JoeUser bought 14 mana crystal.
JaneUser bought 14 advanced healing potion.
You bought 12 roses.

Already been suggested, only way this can get implented is if u buy all 14 at ones, like u say /buy item amount. But that would take more time then just simply clicking 14 times so thats kinda where the previous post ended.

Then i suggest asking JLH through this post to make it optional, just for the ppl who rather type it out. (if it isnt already possible)

Edit: I like it then, prolly wont use it but it wont hurt me either.

Ok i see where your going but this is kinda pointless onlything it prevents is a tiny bit of lag besides i can click faster then you can copy and paste or press your macro
