Still want professional looking website for free?

On the chrismas holidays, i can totally redesign this website. For now, some suggestions to consider to adding/removing:
1) change the tables drop down menu to javascript http://www.cross-browser.com/examples/menu9.html
2) if you can, i highly recommend adding php compatability. This allows for adding perl/c like coding, makes the website alot easier to maintain and update.
3) add some more colour to the website (orange would perfectly blend).
4) Make the frontpage view news about nightmist (especially about the server status).
5) Having the jump to.. as links
6) add more nm related images.
It's quite dull and boring, hardly anything that make people come back to the website. Maybe compile an article from past experiances, hosting nightmist related websites like mapping and clans).
also another good idea is adding a picture upload on peoples profiles, im guessing thats already a rejected idea.
well, if you like me to work on a website (dont need to agree on replacing this one), just reply to this thread or email me.

I was actuly thinking about this a little and I would also suggest moving forums and some of the other nm stuff over to another web server I happen to know one that is free comes with 20mb of space and no ads also comes with free data base supports cgi-bin and php this would not only free up some lag (wich realy isn't much of a issue) but also give nm a perment web site no matter if the server is down or not.. the web space also has some upgrades like 3 bucks a month u can have 200 mb of space and so on I think it would greatly improve things to move some of the site stuff over to another server you porably won't be able to move the clan house sale and for sell stuff over with out over complacting things but you can easly use i-frams to serve up those pages
and as of yet there is no traiffic limit for the site

heard about that and i couldnt access my account after i registered it, so i couldnt really post my idea's. All i need is the basic rules that i need to play along.
- colour setup?
- navagation style (side bars, keep the drop down bar)?
- Want it to be interesting to look at or simply and informative?
- Specially requests like making it PHP, ASP, plain html?
- Want to change anything existing like new, better forum? news page as the homepage? administration to add more news?
I just need the run down to have something to go against, but i know for sure that frames and badly supported drop downs will be eliminated for sure.

The way i make websites is that i aim to make them simple and functional. The current website is very simple, but at the same time very limited.
The website can look better and have better support for other browsers other then IE.
also, alot of people wouldnt bother going to the announcements forum to find out what has been upgraded, the down time warnings etc. Which is why i suggest the news page to be on http://www.nightmist-online.co.uk
Even the smallest changes can make this site a whole lot better for the NM community.
