Not sure on the other, but I'm assuming Hex as it's (in effect) easier than just putting in the colour name.

that and i believe that ='<color>' has a very limited usage... eg <font color="purple"> (yes html.. different from the thing nm uses  )doesnt work.. maybe it just uses primary colours and some basic ones.. anyway in relation to the NM colour blue, its hex code ff8888 for making skins, and 8888ff for html color
