Fighters as of right now suck, they barely do any dmg because 4 times outta 6 they get absorbed doing half to no dmg to the monster/player, they either need to get some more abilities or not get absorbed as much...they need to be fixed and it needs to happen right now

Class development is currently halted, by decree of Pandilex.
As far as I know, that's what is up. Plus I think it just will never work out to try and balance all the classes. It could have already been accomplished, but at the state the game is in now, I can't see it ever happening without major, undesirable changes.

Every class will always have it's ups and downs, the biggest problems arrise when people get several of one class, and start killing everyone, then that class has a boost of users, and people see them as overpowered. At least, that's how it appears to go to me.

Well you get a group of fighters together, and i'll get a group of any other class together plus i'll let you have a lil more fighters then what we got and we'll really see how powerful the "group" of fighters is your talking about..more fighters isnt going to make their hits get absorbed less

I am have alot of ling fighters ( all 4-5 stat) and all seem to miss all but 1 stam each time : / so I dont know if its just your fighter or what but mine next to never miss

I gotta agree, i'm not too fond of fighters...all the macro-bashing required to train just gets on my tits, and i don't even consider taking even an arch fighter to a boss, as opposed to say a thief/ranger.
As for using them in fights, well even if you do manage to get past the other guy's armour, they're gonna have time to drink some pots/heal before you can do any real damage. Fighting zerkers can be fun though
As for improving fighters...i dunno...give em a bd 30/31 weapon, more armour maybe, probably not a special skill though, i think it might spoil them as a class.

I do however think they do too little damage and need more armor. They should also be able to counter some physical attacks. In my opinion, fighters should not be the oulfs carrying around a large stick of metal wearing a lot of armor that everyone makes them out to be. If i wanted a dumb oulf carrying around a long stick of metal I'd make another zerk.
