Morph

Morph could be changed into something a bit better. And with more variety and the option to unmorph. My suggestion is:

Wolf Morph: +2 strenght +1 dexterity (like it used to be), 40 mana cost, lasts 3 minutes.

Bear Morph: +3 strenght +2 dexterity, costs 50 mana, lasts 3 minutes.

Ancient Owl Morph: -2 strenght +1 dexterity, +5 wisdom, costs 55 mana, lasts 3 minutes

Giant Scorpion Morph: +4 strenght +2 dexterity, costs 60 mana lasts 3 minutes. Has poison chance 0.15. Poison damage is Intelligence/3.

White Tiger Morph: +5 strenght +3 dexterity, costs 70 mana lasts 3 minutes.

Lesser Wurm Morph: +10 strenght +4 dexterity, costs 100 mana lasts 2 minutes.

You can't cast spells while morphed, except for the Ancient Owl morph. This morph also increases your max mana.

With this kind of "Morph", we have a big variety (felines, insects, reptiles or whatever Lesser Wurm is and birds). And the good old Bear and Wolf Smiley

This way we can choose different morphs with different effects and unmorph.

I never thought 'Lesser Wurm' was appropriate - druid are supposed to be able to morph into 'natrual creatures' or roughly medium size.  No special 'fantasy' creatures or anything exeedingly small or huge.  Not that NM has to follow the standard or anything...  It only makes sense.

I like your ideas.  Druids should be able to morph into different types of animals like it was before and be able to unmorph!   Angry  Though to me it doesnt make sense for just the owl to cast spells.  Undecided

I always thought this was funny, you could morph into a wurm, with the description 'twice as big as a man' or something like that, and go into the sdg, yet a half ling fighter is too 'big' to go there...

I like the way morph works now. You just pick your favorite or what fits better.

Current morph is very cool, it's just annoying how you can't cast spells whilst in it.

Yes the perminent morph is annoying.  But it is true that at the moment all the morphs do the exact same thing as the rest of them so it does not matter.  But the biggest problem I find is if someone wants to morph into something different you should be able to /morphset [animal] again to change it to what you want.  It should not be perminent.  Also by my personal opinion /morphset should not be perminent so you can change what /morph makes you into whenever you want and each animal should do something different to the druids stats.  It is just the logical way to do things.

I agree that a permanent morph is rather, annoying to say the least but they are fairly powerful now, not missing nearly as much as before. My level 20 hasn’t missed during training or pking since he was about level 17. I really believe they should be able to morph in and out of it any time they like, because Gaea’s Blessing doesn’t last through the entire morph (which I think it should, or be allowed to be casted in the morphed state.).  Overall though I give the druid update two thumbs up, and congratulate JLH and Pandilex (Now Rincewind/Gir) on their efforts to improve nightmist.

I like this idea a lot, the current morph is good, but this idea is slightly better. I also think that you should be able to moprh out whenever you want, this has been pissing me off since it came in, and I still haven't got used to it.
