Stats affecting spells.

I just started playing NightMist and in order to roll me my first cleric I've readed through this session of the Forum, and I saw a few posts of how stats affects spells. I readed a long post about Chr affecting healing spells, so in order to make sure thats really true I made a few tests. (I tested only with the first basic healing spell for clerics since was the only one I could afford or be enough level to buy.) lvl 1 - int 16 wis 12 chr 21 - 13 mana 13 10 9 10 9 You have increased to level 2 (+7 mana points.) 11 13 12 12 11 You have increased to level 3, (+7 mana points.) 12 10 9 11 12 10 lvl 1 - int 19 wis 20 char 11 - 21 mana 15 16 16 14 16 You have increased to level 2, (+11 mana points.) 16 15 17 15 16 You have increased to level 3, (+11 mana points.) 15 15 14 16 13 lvl 1 - int 13 wis 20 char 21 - 21 mana 16 16 14 16 17 You have increased to level 2, (+11 mana points.) 16 12 13 14 15 You have increased to level 3, (+11 mana points.) 13 16 14 15 16 PS: All of the numbers are the heal spell against other players. Comments: - Wis, directly affects fizzles; - Wis, directly affects mana points; - Chr, doesn't seem to affect at all healing, not in a amount that was noticeable at least. So, does Chr really affect any spell at all? Cause to me a cleric needing more Chr than Wis/Int is totally out of sense. If you think they do, think you could prove it with real data and testing?

If that's the best answer you can come up with, good luck with your severe lack of inteligence. PS: Everyone knows im a newbie and I'm just starting out, I said it myself, but thanks for pointing out the obvious, was quite inteligent and necesary. PPS: If the best you will do by posting is flamming keep your thoughs to yourself, save your time and mine.

| He clearly says that he's just started, and actually goes to some trouble to ask a question with examples by making the crits.. and you post that- I think we can see who the 'n00b' is here. And to SK: charisma affects healing undead, but you won't notice it much unless you're using a higher spell, min/max charisma will vary divine restoration by only afew points so it won't show with those crits. With the player healing scenario the amount is dependant on the player being healed (I think), not the cleric itself, and again you won't see much affect if the amount is so low.

Oh I see, that's why probably I cant see much of a diference on low lvl characters. When I get to a higher level I will test that though Just on more one question, does Int have any use for a cleric? any spell? anything? it doesnt seem to affect fizzle or mana points at all.

The only use is if they ever release a new spell which needs it, which is extremely unlikely.. so no.

I'm personally very impressed with the work he did. NO noob i've ever seen has actually done the work to check. They sit around and beg/ask about/for things or post ?s. To answer some of this- You're basically right. Wis = mana gained and all heals on monsters Char = slightly! changes heal on other players, would be hard to notice w/o atleast aid. Int= nothing for clerics Cons = hp gained per lvl Str. = not too important unless you're like me with clerics and enjoy doing anything and everything w/ them (pk w/ cleric basically) Dex = ability to physically hit and dodge things

| wtf is wrong with you?! The only n00b around here is you. Just because someone is new to NM does not make them a n00b. SK put a great deal of time into his "research" and you're just to lazy to even give it a second glance. It's people like you that make NM what it has become.

char affects how much you healdamage monsters, how much others heal you and how much you heal yourself. It has no effect on how much you heal others
