Those are the stats to go for. It always helps for them to be maxed, but then again you're not always that lucky...

I always like str too.. Sure, you may not find yourself hitting much stuff, but 18 str is always better than 6..
Appart from that, yeah, Sausage is right. Dex, Con, Wis and Char are all the main things needed.
Im sure this has been writen a hundred times on the forum before

He'd be worth alot more with more dex... Perf stats always always sell for more. 17dex won't really be wanted by a majority of the NM community, who PK and need better stats.

Tips.. As a first cleric you'd want to get something like an Elf: 14+ x 18+ 18 18+ 19+ id say..
Then train up, and when things get set up, conquer an area.. As in make a team of characters that all work in that area.. A good place would be Necro Tower to start with.

here's what i'd suggest, save up as much gold as you can, buy the next 5 stat elf or dwarf you see on site...or human or halfelf i suppose.... (off stat intel), use it to make a cleric...in my opinion clerics are the most important thing to any party in nightmist that plans on actually fighting
(even when hit and running people like spells...but if you're on a druid and 25 thieves *cough*old devout thing that was fun*end cough* you dont need spells often)
...if just training then you're wanting charimsa, dex, wis, and cons...most def. want all of those to be max...due to the gold it will save you in the end...dex, wis, and cons are obviously needed, char makes you heal for slightly more..but you see...to get arch you will heal so many times that doing 2 more damage due to 2 more charimsa or so will make a difference in how much mana you have to buy to train it..

Well, the best PKing clerics are obviously Dwarven.
But that str difference to a normal Elven Cleric won't matter a great deal if you're RFed and Enhance.

(*o*) hmm... I personally prefer dwarf clerics over elves and humans. Although elves heal for more they lack hp which dwarves are never short of. If you are gonna train a dwarf cleric i reccommend getting stat like 20+ X 18 21 18 15+ to train. Average hp per lvl u should gain is 10's and 11's and an occassional 9. If you start to see a constant flow of 9's I personally would reset for better hp since that's what one the dwarf class strengths.
