nuf said. Now lets critisize me (since for some reason ppl think their underpowered  ???)

Ok here it is

1. they can smite for like 300+ at like lvl 24 and they lose very little HP
2. Beserk is insane.  It does like 100 damage on a bad day per zerk and still, they dont lose that much HP.
3. They get about 400-500 HP
4. They can round anyone.
5. They get Stamina way to fast and they get six.  That is like assassinating with 6 and rapid fireing with 6... thats insane

Do you have a level 30 zerk?
Have you dueled a level 30 zerk with other level 30 classes?
Have you been pked by a spelled up zerk that was 10 levels high than you?
Have you got any level 30 crits?

When you have experience of the other 3, the main 3 items I have listed above then maybe you'll qualify to have an objective opinion.
Instead of complaining because you got pked by a spelled up zerk.

I don't have a high level one.. But if you catch one on it's own, not spelled up or anything, they're pretty easy to take down.

Two levels below you? Oh my.. You died, geez, get over it! It's just a game, if you don't like them being 'so strong', then do the smart thing... Make your own!!

Then you may get some other noob complaining they were PKed by you, and you can laugh at them...

How is the game ever going to progress if everyone just does that? Nothing will get fixed, one class will own all the others.. you need to make things balance, not just say 'meh, ill make one instead'

The zerks are fine they lose hp everytime since people complained before about smite and berserk. They have a load of hp because they have no armor and usually if there is a level 30 zerk there is usually a cleric with it. Now would you rather take the zerk as it is now or take on one with like 400 hp at level 30 armor and not losing hp I think not. Zerks are just fine.

oh yeah, eternaty, I think that anyone could get killed by anyone by any crit 10 levels higher than them supped up with spells!

oh yeah, like you said zerkers DO lose HP, but not very much...

I own 2 Arch Zerkers and can assure you that without spells they are far from over powered . . . infact they miss a lot . . . they are the most un reliable class there is . . .with spells they are deadly but then again what class isnt?

Berserkers have just as much power as a Thief/ ranger / fighter. Spelled up and unspelled. So you cant say there overpowered..

Berserkers are only overpowered when used in conjunction with clerics. However, when used with clerics druids/ranger/thief/fighter can 1 click/round berserkers without any trouble.

Easily solved by deleting clerics out of the game. Or by having an alt rule, where someone can't log on 3 zerks and a cleric for spells.

I have said it many times, "Alts are abused and ruin the game for everyone".

My main point, was that i believe them to be equal to other classes, as Eternyte said, only advantaged when with a Cleric, the same as every class...

So, as things won't change, just make your own, i don't want any, cus they're not how i like to play the game.

You can't make statements like that when you have no evidence... If you read the Berserker sticky thread, you will see that many people are complaining about them being over powered. Pandilex might take note of this and modify them.

that's because fighters are about the only class that beats berserkers? my halfling fighter has beaten all the ones i've tried so far. it's the fact that they don't miss and the berserkers have 0 armor - so the fighters hit 50-60 every shot.

A whole bunch of logs from 1v1 duels where the zerker had no spells and was dueling crits i would think had aohs and sgs.  right?

If he was dueling properly, he would smite against the high armored crits since smite ignores armor.  That is correct isn't it?

If you consider evening classes out by 1v1 duels then pallys shouldnt have aid, dwarf clerics shouldnt exist, druids shouldnt have armor spells.


I can make logs of duels to make classes look overpowered, equal, or whatever the hell you want.  Especially if you only make me use 1 of the classes crits.  

I don't think enough info is right there, what equips did the other crits have?  Was Rot raged?  Did you ever duel using smite, too?

edit- Also, was only 1 person controling these crits?  From the duels where spells were used to armor up the druid it sure as hell looks like it, there is no way the druid ought to be able to cast all those spells during the duel w/o the zerk getting off an attack.

I really think you guys are both using bad examples by 1v1 duels and that many of them look rather awkward in the style of fighting...

All crits had basic eqiup, no sg's, no aoh's, no cr's. Spelled up means absolutely nothing, it's all about luck of getting the first hit. When PKing, the whole point it getting the first hit, PKing is not a fair duel, hence the name 'PKing' not dueling. Pking is the whole reason of this topic, because some people can't handle dying.

Obviously, if a zerk gets 30 ac, 33 str, and an increased chance to hit then they would be awesome. However, everyone seems to forget that players with thieves or rangers spelled up are just as devastating as berserkers, but how much whinging would there be if this was about rangers.

The simple way of creating a remotely balanced world, would be to introduce an alt rule, being 1 alt only. However, then you find the majority of spineless and pathetic users don't want to because they could not log on 10 alts so they can be powerful!

Another argument is they people would quit, and that it not what Nightmist needs. The people who would quit are the people Nightmist doesn't need. Also the exact same things were said about the last reset etc etc, however you would observe Nightmist actually had a massive influx of players. Also a lot more players would play just to try to become the #1 ranked player, but with an alt rule would be more deserved.

People have also said to me, "If it was 1 alt only allowed to be logged on per computer, how would bosses be killed", well obviously the bosses would be modified to suit the lack of alts that have been destroying them. Maybe spawn very frequently and have a very low % drop rate.

Alts ruin the game, berserkers are not overpowered unless used with a cleric, the same as every other class. Excluding druid armor spells, and mages.

The sooner the game gears itself toward individuality and singular alts, the better for the whole of Nightmist.

I think rangers have it too easy also.

That would be even less reliable, the 1 v 1 duels Andy posted have no element of player skill, except maybe the paladin one, but if you were playing 3 v 3 the skill or at least speed of the player makes a big difference. If you're playing the non-zerkers and can round one or heal between their 2 rounds its no problem, but if you can't...

Exactly, 1v1 is nothing, especially for fighters and zerkers, you hold down hitting macros, rangers can hypno and stuff, spell casters cast spells, but 1v1 is nothing for a fighter or a zerker.  It shows nothing about anything other than luck.  You do 3v3 or higher and it makes a little sense, but 1v1 is just ridiculus, much less with the complete lack of tactic/skill used most of the duels by the other classes and the zerkers in some cases.

Besides no one complained about zerkers without spells cause everyone knows they're not too overpowered since they are so unpredictable.  You have them with spells and they're too strong.  Make them hit a small ammount more often without spells, take off a little damage from their attacks with spells or take off 1 stamina and they're not overpowered anymore.

Point here- they have a ranger attack that misses more but hits harder than rangers can hit for- + extra stam makes them over powered to rangers cause their lack of hits is made up for by the extra damage.

Exact same for thieves.

Overpowered to fighters because they have 1 clicks, more hp cancels out armor, and they do far more damage with equal weapons.

Overpowered to mages because smite ignores armor, mages have too little hp to be hit for full damage by these bastids.

Druids are pretty strong as they are, i wouldnt say anything is too overpowered to them due to their armor, camo, attacks, draining weapon, and spell attacks.

Pallys and clerics also seem fine to me as they are. However, i have never used pallys much so other people would be more able to say about them.

Pacifists are neat.  I don't like all of the implications of greater pact though.

Some of those duels proved nothing, mainly because you were using the wrong abilities. When someone has high armor (AoP, druids buffs) you use smite, not berserk, as smite ignores armor.

hmm after I got my arch ranger I dueled a lvl 30 zerker and he 1 clicked me with smite (he was raged, not spelled), and my arch ranger had 297 hp...I still say that they are over powered...

arch thief can click 297 easy and will do it way more often then a zerk, who will miss 5 or 6 smites in a row before actually landing one.. during such time would be dropped 2-3 times without ever taking a single hp off the opponent.. yet zerks are over powered  ::)

Sorry to bring up an old topic but I needed to say this:

A zerkers smite is not a constant damage though, even more so then assassinate. One time you could do 300, another 50. A thief is powerful because the thief can covert and kill you before you know what happened. A ranger can hypno you, and you won't touch him. A mage can click click invisi, and you won't get a shot off. All berserkers do is run in there with spells, swing their big weapon around blindly and hope to lop someones head off. They require less skill then all the other classes except fighters. If you have skill with another class you could take down a berserker.

P.S. that alt rule, though it makes sense would ruin some of the strategy in the game, while adding more of another kind, it would take out some. I would hate to run around with just one crit, trying to level. Nobody would every get an arch mage or a class of that sort withough days and days and days of leveling. It would add a difficulty level to the game that nobody would enjoy. There should be an alt rule, but definately not just 1, maybe 3 or 4. But that's a different topic.
