SERVER
 
1) '/ignore', '/enemy', '/friend', '/nopk' now say if a player is AFK/DND.
 
2) Spyglass can now be used with '/spy north' instead of '/spy n'.
 
3) Stopped trading with yourself (was used by staff for testing purposes).
 
4) '/mosh yell [messages]' no longer says 'yell [message]' to everyone, just says '[message]'.
 
5) Emotes on friends/enemies, when they don't have you on their list now says their name instead of your name.
 
6) '/showstats [character]' now says your class/race and has the max stats in yellow.
 
7) Current players online page on the website now says chairwoman where appropriate.
 
8) Computers on the same network with the same public internet ip can now play in the same mosh.
 
9) Creating characters with a name on the banned list has been stopped.
 
10) '/server' now shows the date/time that the nightmist server program started.
 
11) '/party' shows how many people are in your party.
 
12) '/party' shows if members are hungry/thirsty/poisoned.
 
13) '/party appoint [character]' now only searches for people in your party to appoint, ie, '/party appoint p' won't say "Peter is not in your party" if Pandilex is in your party.
 
14) '/togglenpc' to stop monster talking (saves on logoff).
 
15) '/toggle' to display a list of toggled settings (including clan chat).
 
16) Monster table on profiles on the web only update when you log off (to stop people looking at which ones are incrementing to find out where you are on the map).
 
17) '/give [alts/party] [item/gold]' added, only works if they are on the same square as you though.
 
18) 11 emotes added: /blink, /burp, /gasp, /gl, /hf, /mutter, /pout, /prance, /salute, /squeal, /tap.
 
19) Removed the number checking on '/give' so that if you don't have enough of an item, it sends what you do have, and if they don't have the required inventory space, it sends an amount equal to the space they actually do have.
 
20) '/announcement log' added to see the last 50 announcements made by staff.
 
21) '/memo sent' for the last 20 memos you've sent (can be cleared with '/memo clear').
 
22) Deaths by staff on profiles removed.
 
23) Bug fixed whereby if you were hungry or thirsty you wouldn't get hurt by poison.
 
24) Blackjack in the casinos should now take account of previous aces gained and convert them to 1 when a 'hit' gives a non-ace card that would take the total over 21.
 
25) '/togglemosh' now saves on logoff.
 
26) Friend/enemy chat now tells everyone on your friend/enemy list that you've turned it on/off.
 
27) '/showsite' shows all the items you have on the website's selling/auction system.
 
28) If you have set a custom wall message in a clan house, you can now build a room in that direction without it saying "There is already a room there.".
 
29) '/spy' can be used to spy on the current room you are in with a spyglass.
 
30) '/reset' gives you the reset info so you can relevel your character, you have to type in a random confirm code, so you can't "reset by mistake", so equally, if you reset, and change your mind, no going back.
 
31) '/levels' tells you the hp/mp you gained each level up (from now on).
 
32) Resetting your character on the website in an attempt to get better hp/mp has now been stopped, once the character has been rolled, it has a predetermined random set of hp/mp gains.
 
33) The way that the interactive parts of the website communicates with the server has been changed to stop the "no such file on nightmist server" error. (This was due to long packets getting cropped, this caused a problem because POST requests put the data at the end of the packet, I have changed it to use a GET request, so that it puts the information directly in the URL, also means it'd work better with proxy servers).
 
34) Character restore system added, it should be fairly simple to work out from the 'Character Edit' menu on the website. At the moment, it requires the exact password of the deleted character to bring it back into the game and does not take account of existing crits with the same name.
 
35) Passwords with symbols in them (not in a-z 0-9) now work properly on the interactive parts of the website.
 
36) '/trade confirm' now shows the other person any characters you are trading's stats.
 
37) Game activity page on the website now shows a pie chart of 1-6 stat'd characters.
 
38) FIX: Healing monsters now heal themselves if there is no-one on the square.
 
39) Using '/mosh exit' clears the fact that you entered the mosh from a particular square (for going back to after the mosh is over) so that when you die, you don't go to that location, you go to your local tavern instead.
 
40) Stats part of the website has been set to not read in the player database while the game server is writing it, this will stop it reading in part of the database, and displaying inaccurate information on the website.
 
41) Grasping Vines slowly lose hp over a minute and vanish afterwards.
 
42) '/nopk' no longer says "You have: Your clan on your nopk list." if you are not in a clan and no-one else is on your nopk list.
 
43) Requiring food or water now reduces your hp by a greater amount each time after saying it twice.
 
44) '/page history' now shows the date and time of each page sent to you.
 
45) Account vaults are now available (space will be provided on the map in major cities shortly), they store 50 items, and can be accessed from any character in the account.
 
46) '/memo forward' tells you what character your memos are forwarded too, and any characters that forward memos to you.
 
47) '/memo forward [character]' will forward all memos sent to you to [character] (character has to be in your account). If [character] changes account, it will no longer forward memos to others, and any other characters set to forward to it will be cancelled (this also applies if [character] is deleted). If characters are already forwarding to you, then they are changed to forward to [character] instead. Character renames and name swaps don't affect the system.
 
48) Vaults now accept abbreviated item names for depositing and withdrawing.
 
49) When you logon, characters on your /nopk list that are clan members, pacifists or no longer exist are removed.
 
50) Multiple messages saying "[character] logged on" or "[character] left the game", (when the person is on your friend/enemy list or in your clan and you are on the same square as them) have been stopped.
 
51) '/nopk', '/ignore', '/friend', '/enemy' now also tell you who online has you on their list.
 
52) When you logon, characters on your friend/enemy lists that no longer exist are removed.
 
53) '/throw [direction] [item]' now does the same checking as if you were walking that direction, ie, you can't through items into places you can't walk into.
 
54) '/throw [direction/character] [gold]' has been added.
 
55) '/pickplayers [amount]' can now be used by players in the mosh arenas for picking random teams.
 
56) When mosh hp draining is on, the '/mosh log' now says that you were removed from the mosh for having low hp.
 
57) '/showstats [character]' now shows [character] your spells.
 
58) '/[enemy/friend/ignore/nopk] clear' now tells people on it that you have removed them from your list.
 
59) The AFK/DND system now says "minute" instead of "minutes" when the number is 1.
 
60) '/get [amount] [itemname]' can now be used to pickup multiple items of the same name in 1 go.
 
61) '/drop [amount] [itemname]' can now be used to drop multiple items of the same name in 1 go.
 
62) '/buy' is an alternative way to bring up the list of things for sale in a shop.
 
63) '/sell' is an alternative way to bring up the list of things you can sell in a shop.
 
64) '/buy [amount] [itemname]' can now be used in a shop to buy multiple items of the same name in 1 go.
 
65) '/sell [amount] [itemname]' can now be used in a shop to sell multiple items of the same name in 1 go.
 
66) Level-up readyness phrases have been changed (inspired by Bean on forum mainly).
 
67) Player names on the online stats and trading system now have a small nightmist icon before them if they are currently online.
 
68) '/[enemy/friend] copy [alt]' copies any characters on [alt]'s enemy/friend list that are not on yours to your enemy/friend list.
 
69) Chance for poison to wear off is now based on your constitution.
 
70) Memoing of players can now be done from the website, level 25 or above character required to send a memo.
 
71) '[' will now do the same as '/enemy' showing you who is on your list and who has you on their list.
 
72) ']' will now do the same as '/friend' showing you who is on your list and who has you on their list.
 
73) '/system log' has been increased from the last 10 system messages to the last 50.
 
74) '/memo forward off' will stop memos from being forwarded to another character.
 
75) Stamina now goes to full when you level up.
 
76) Selling on the website is now '/websell' not '/sell', this is because the shops in game now use '/sell'.
 
CLANS
 
77) The list of clans to be sold now checks to see if the chairperson on the list is indeed the true chairperson, and if not, searches for the the new one, if there is no current chairperson of the clan, then the old one will still show.
 
78) '/clan loc' and '/clan members' are now ordered by chairperson, founders, leaders, members.
 
79) Clan chat emotes no longer work in areas where clan chat is disabled.
 
80) '/help clanroomcosts' has been added.
 
81) You can no longer do emotes in clan chat with clan chat off.
 
82) '/clan [message/description/enemy/ally]' now says "You are not in a clan." when appropriate instead of "none".
 
83) '/clan message [text]' now takes the following real time variables: %t - time, %d - date, %n - number of clanies online, %g - amount of gold in clan bank(s), %r - number of rooms in clan house, %ce - clan enemies, %ca - clan allies.
 
84) Clan chat for founders/chairperson added as '##' or '/clan chat #'. Supports '##off', '##on', '##/t [username] [message]' and emotes etc.
 
85) '/clan remove [yourself]' can no longer be used, tells you to use '/disband' instead.
 
86) '/clan invite alts' added.
 
87) '/clan demote [username]' now says foundership if the person used to be a founder instead of leadership.
 
88) '/clan loc' is now in alphabetical order for each status.
 
89) '/clan chat [F]history' added, stores the last 20 things said in clan chat.
 
90) '/clan lock [username]' for clan rooms sets who can go onto the square (chairperson only).
 
91) '/readset' has been changed to '/clan read', '/webset' has been changed to '/clan web', '/mumbleset' has been changed to '/clan mumble'.
 
92) '/wall', '/basic', '/detail', '/direction', '/kitchen', '/sauna', have now got '/clan' before them.
 
93) '/clan monster list' to show a list of available monsters/npcs that you can add to your clan house.
 
94) '/clan monster [monstername]' to add [monstername] to the current square you are on, costs 50k gold (founder and chairperson only).
 
95) '/clan sauna [message on button]/[message to self]/[message to square]', is the new way of doing it for clan houses.
 
96) '/clan mumble [dir] [password](:message when attempting to go through)' (eg, '/clan mumble n cabbage:what is pass'), you can now set a message for when someone tries to go into a passworded area.
 
97) '/clan donations' shows the last 50 donations to your clan.
 
98) '/clan remove position [position]' added to remove everyone in the clan that has [position] as their clan position. Note, a leader can't remove founders doing this, and the chairman can't be removed by anyone.
 
99) '/clan position [character] ([character]) ([character])... tag [position]' to tag multiple characters at the same time with the same tag.
 
100) '/clan position list [position]' will list all clan members with [position] as their clan position.
 
101) '/clan enemy/ally' now shows all clans that have you on their enemy/ally list.
 
102) '/togglememodonations' for stopping memos to you when someone donates to the clan house (founders+ only get them anyway).
 
103) '/togglememoleaving' for stopping memos to you when someone leaves the clan (founders+ only get them anyway).
 
104) '/clan picture [filename on mugshots\clans]' has been added for clan logos or pictures of the founders or whatever. Email pictures to me as usual with the filename as the name of the clan.
 
105) '/clan [ally/enemy] clear' added to clear your [ally/enemy] list.
 
106) On login, clans on your ally/enemy list that no longer exist are removed.
 
107) '/nopk clan' now tells the clan when you add/remove them from the nopk list.
 
108) '/togglearena' can be used to stop death messages from sparring arenas.
 
109) '/donate all' can be used to donate all your gold to a clan.
 
110) The estate agent can now give you directions to your clan house.
 
111) The account manager now says Chairwoman for female chairpersons.
 
112) '/basic', '/detail', '/direction' have been added to show you the current basic/detail/directional descriptions and the color codes that go with them so you can copy/paste and edit more easily.
 
113) Vaults are now in alphabetical order.
 
114) '/deposit [amount] [itemname]' can now be used to deposit multiple items of the same name into the vault.
 
115) '/withdraw [amount] [itemname]' can now be used to withdraw multiple items of the same name from the vault.
 
116) '/clan title [description]' to set the yellow title of the room which is also used in paging, a maximum length has been set of 50 characters.
 
117) Founders/chairperson now have a '/memo members' option for just memoing the members of a clan.
 
118) Female chairwomen now have chairwoman on their description instead of chairman.
 
SPECIFIC CLASSES
 
119) Healing for damage, berserk and rapidfire, on a monster and killing it now gives you the kill xp value and the damage xp value you did rather than just the kill xp value.
 
120) If you are a hidden thief not in a clan, you can now be detected by other players also not in a clan.
 
121) Attacking a pacifist and dying because of it, (or due to the pacifist's justice zone) now allows the pacifist to gain a point on his/her player kills part of the profile.
 
122) Subdued (pacifist) characters no longer deal half damage towards undead monsters.
 
123) Tracking now works on people on your nopk list.
 
124) Pacifists can no longer be tracked.
 
125) Only druids can do '/morphset' instead of any class (even though they couldn't morph).
 
126) Pacifists can no longer move while they have Justice Zone cast.
 
127) Justice zone now takes full stamina to cast.
 
128) Justice zone can now be disabled by casting again.
 
129) New mage spell, "Dispell", 2000 gold, level 18, removes bad spells/effects on characters at a cost of 5 mana per effect on target removed. Prevents new bad spells (except damaging ones) from affecting target character for 20 seconds. Currently works on divine light, drunkedness, hypnotised, subdue (any more? post on improvements forum).
 
130) FIX: Consecrated embrace now gives the extra 10% damage to undead when used with mage attacking spells.
 
131) FIX: When a player is assassinated by a thief, it now says "an assassin" rather than "an assassinate".
 
132) FIX: Using '/create [food/water]' on a pacifist with no room in inventory now gives a message rather than doing nothing.
 
133) When healing undead for damage, you now always get given hp if your mana is full and similarly, always get given mana if your hp is full. If both is full, you don't get a reward message. If both are not full, you get the one that has the lowest percentage left.
 
134) Mages now get 2 mp gained per 30 second interval instead of 1.
 
135) Pacifists now show up green on the "people who are here with you" list.
 
136) Thieves can no longer steal gold off a monster that the monster has gained by killing or stealing off players.
 
137) Righteous Fury, Blessed Force, Almighty Retribution, Blessed Haste and Consecrated Embrace now don't use a line for each character to say that you cast the spell, instead it goes on one line.
 
138) '/covert' can now be done in front of clan allies and players on your nopk list. The other person has to have you on their list too.
 
139) Pacifists can now see how much damage their deity stops them receiving.
 
140) When hidden, your own alts will no longer spot you moving around.
 
141) Pacifists can now pass monsters that have been set for all monsters of that type to be non-passable.
 
CLIENT
 
142) Fixed the 'Update All Graphics' option on the help menu.
 
143) Text size of main window has been increased up to 18 on the menu.
 
144) The Reroll button is now set to focus when the stats come in and it becomes clickable again.
 
145) Ping timeout (a ping is currently in progress, please wait for the result) changed from 20000s to 20s (i was thinking in ms at the time).
 
146) '/manager' starts up another copy of nightmist with your user/pass entered and goes into the account manager.
 
147) Client hiding while being resized/maximised is now optional, if you disable hiding, it takes longer to resize, but it won't change it's place in the taskbar.
 
148) New sound option for paging sounds only.
 
149) When sending a character to another account, it now disappears from your account manager.
 
150) Blue/Red bordered action buttons' picture now resizes properly.
 
151) 4 macro sets have been added, this will allow more flexability with macros, changeable from the macros menu.
 
152) More indication of connection status on login.
 
153) When maximised, and using voicechat, the typing text box should now move to the correct position.
 
154) Removed "Update Help File" from the help menu, and changed the help link to go to the website, as the help file was very out of date, and it's easier to just change the site to reflect new things. (If you can think of more things to post in the FAQ, put the question and answer in the improvements forum with the subject "FAQ Addition").
 
155) New autoupdater created, it'll ask you to click the help menu and click "update the autoupdater" when you login. The new autoupdater allows more control over the update locations server side to add/remove mirrors as needed.
 
156) The pics of who is in the room with you have been changed to only display the pic once, then put how many of a particular thing are there.
 
157) In the account manager, ordering by the sex/race/class column now orders by class instead of the whole thing.
 
158) Max stats button added on the create character screen so you can see the max stats.
 
159) Game options menu item added for automatically starting the game screen maximised on logon.
 
160) Game options menu item added for making the HP/MP borders flash when you are below 20%.
 
161) HP/MP Bars now change color as you lose HP/MP.
 
162) Exp/Stamina/HP/MP Bars now refresh their data faster when maximising the client.
 
163) '/timer [timer] [message]' added to add a countdown and a custom message when the countdown gets to 0.
 
164) In the account manager, when clicking the text box to type in a crit name to load, it will only clear it the first time you click it.
 
165) In the account manager, typing the beginning of character names will only show those characters in the table below.
 
166) In the account manager, the function keys can now be used instead of the play buttons.
 
167) The selected action/spell buttons are now saved on a per character basis instead of all characters logging on with the same action buttons selected.
 
168) Maths questions on the roller may now ask for subtraction and multiplication and use words instead of numbers.
 
169) Highlighted spells remain selected when scroll up/down the list a lot.
 
170) Recieve buffer increased from 40 to 60 pieces of data (mainly useful for staff with command chaining).
 
STAFF
 
171) '/tp [location]' when [location] doesn't exist now gives you a message instead of doing nothing.
 
172) '/monitor list', '/plalert' now say if a player is AFK/DND.
 
173) '/heal [character]' now heals people's hp/mp when there hp is on full and their mp isn't.
 
174) Can now steal from a Pacifist.
 
175) Can now do the following actions that /grid 87:1 stops users doing (87 Stop paging, clan chat, party chat, and yell)
 
176) Players paging you now say their true location even if they use /toggleloc.
 
177) Monster stat 49, set to 1 so that the monster can't be attacked in a /grid 3:1 square.
 
178) '/vision' won't find hidden staff even when they are uncloaked.
 
179) Fixed '/usersearch 0:[text]', as used to only give the 1st result, now gives the first 10 as expected.
 
180) Fixed '/ip' and '/lev' for putting number 10 before number 2 etc.
 
181) '/grid 15-20:Stat/Message' for setting a stat required to go on to the square with a custom message (eg '/grid 15:21/You are not strong enough to move the rock.').
 
182) Monster stat 47 (/t monster blah) can now be set to give items along with a message to user and square, monsters can also be set with a death message. ((*)input/output/(item given/user msg/sqr msg)/(die msg)|input/output...). Put '*' before an input for [input] to be triggered by [input] being in the user's [input].
 
183) Monster stat 48 (/give monster blah) can now be set to kill the monster after it has done whatever. (input/(output)/(sqr msg)/(die msg)|input|...) input can be gold or item, output can be nothing, gold or an item.
 
184) '/grid [60-65]:[rm]([mumblepassword](:[custom_message]))(/...)', mumble passwords can do a custom message instead of "Enter the key /mumble key." by putting :custom_message after the password.
 
185) Monster stat 51, set to 1 to stop the monster spotting people, this has been done on all monsters with "door" in their name.
 
186) Yells from players now don't say hidden, and also say the /grid 78 stat to give you a better idea of where they are.
 
187) '/grid 21:1' to stop items dropping to the floor when you die.
 
188) '/grid search [slot]:EXACT[string]$[startroom]' has been added to allow for an exact search instead of [string] being somewhere in the grid slot.
 
189) '/grid stats' now shows the exact color codes used in descriptions rather than making the display colored.
 
190) Extra mosh option '+winitem$[itemname]' now available, is automatically placed in the winner's inventory.
 
191) Item stat 5 can now be set for chance to poison someone when they use the item.
 
192) Item stat 6 can now be set to determine the damage the poison does every 30 seconds to the player who used the item.
 
193) Item stat 7 can now be set to display a message to the player who uses the item (does not have to be poisoned for this to trigger).
 
194) Item stat 8 can now be set to display a message to the square when the player uses the item (does not have to be poisoned for this to trigger).
 
195) '/grid 66:1' is now cleared when a countdown gets to 0.
 
196) '/mosh drain' now tells you when you've toggled it (useful if you have /togglemosh set to stop messages, so you know the command has worked).
 
197) '/pcalts [character]' has been renamed to '/account view [character]', which now shows includes the email address and any account comments.
 
ADMIN
 
198) '/account ban [character]' bans the account that [character] is in.
 
199) '/account email [character] [newemail]' changes the email of the account that [character] is in to [newemail].
 
200) '/account comment [character] [message]' changes the comment of the account that [character] is in to [message].
 
201) '/account password [character] [newpass]' changes the password of the account that [character] is in to [newpass].
 
202) '/account search [character] [string]' searches for [string] in the account that [character] is in.
 
203) '/deleteuser [character]' on online characters has been stopped.
 
204) '/usersearch [slot]:EXACT[string]$[startarray]' has been added to allow for an exact search instead of [string] being somewhere in the user slot.
 
205) Banning an IP address now disconnects all active sessions from that IP.
 
Note: I have not yet updated the command listing on the help menu or in game with /commands.
