K my comp is acting up again, ones you log on all i see is my background and nothing else.....

Only way to get here is to press ctrl+delete+alt and then manually put in a new task (thats how i got here). But everything thats customized mon my comp (favorite, webpages etc) is blocked. So just wondering if it sounds familiard to anyone and if someone can help me?

In addition to the above, i cant run any online virus-scanners or open more then 1 IE, can someone with a bit of knowledge about this plz reply.

cant see smiley's either here lol, cant delete mails from my hotmail account....dont really see a connection to it all so i dunno whats wrong.

otherwise boot from the win xp cd and start the repair function thingy :D

When i installed win xp the cd blew up, remember?

I asked a friend to copy it again for me but i have an examn tomorrow and now i cant practice....o well.
