Title: connecting issues Post by galad on 10/31/03 at 00:51:31 before i say anything. yes i did read JLH's announcement. No i don't have Norton Anti-Virus or MSN. I have VirusScan (the one with the little blue shield with a red V in the middle of it) i tried disabling each of the different scans but it still wont work. I am on a company LAN line though and on a company computer. So would the security measures that the company has (that are unchangeable from this comp) be what is causing the problem? I have only been able to connect using the alternet port in that past also-I have tried disabling VShield completely but that doesnt work either. |

Title: Re: connecting issues Post by JLH on 10/31/03 at 01:04:00 company firewall might be blocking port 110, the next client will be out very soon supporting port 500 as the alternate. |
