having a problem.I installed nightmist and when i go to log on it just says connecting.Tried with Alternate DNS and Port, and it doesnt work.Tried reinstalling it as well.Still keeps connecting.Any idea what I should do?

check for firewall settings?
start-run-command
then in the dos box type
telnet nm.nightmist-online.co.uk 110
if it connects, you will get a blank window, you can also try port 20000 instead of 110. if it can't connect, then i'd put it down to firewall as telnet is the most basic way of connecting to a remotehost.

Do you have a router?

If so go into the router config and check the firewall settings like JLH said. If you want to keep firewall on, enable the TCP ports 110 and/or 20000.

If you have Windows XP you can get to its firewall by doing this:

Start > Control Panel
Network Connections
Right-Click on your internet or LAN and click properties
Go to the "Advanced" tab
If the firewall check is checked, either uncheck it to disable firewall or click "Settings" to enable TCP port 110 and/or 20000.

Note: If you just do 110, make sure alternate port is not checked on NM client. If you do 20000, make sure alternate port IS checked on NM client.

Yep its minion the one you know, lol.. First of all that was a long time ago dont plan on doing it again.

Second of all, if you were SMART, you would know everything I said above is exactly correct and right. :D

Well I'm not SMART. So I have no idea what the heck it would do to a computer. Maybe it would open a port for a keylogger or trojan I have no idea how any of that stuff works. That's why I don't screw with it.

Heres a tip...Minion is banned from the game so why would he have any use for your account? Just a thought.
