since the update i cant log on to nightmist on my laptop anymore keeps showing me 'run-time error 10050 network subsystem failed'
i did the update and even tried to reinstall but keeps coming up with the same think
help please

network subsystem does not sound like an error caused by nightmist itself. on the laptop does

start - run - command

enter, then in the new dos box type

telnet nm.nightmist-online.co.uk 110

enter, do you get a blank dos box (good), or an error?

sounds like TCP/IP is messed up

ok i figured out the problem i cant log on with my firewall running for some reason any idea why that is?

because that's the firewalls job, to stop programs accessing the net unless the firewall says it can. add nightmist to the firewalls allowed list, i can't tell you how to do this tho because i have no idea about the firewall you have.

oh yeah i done that the first time i logged on but i switched back to dail up and now it gives me problem it all works fine on cable lol thanx for your help i just turned the firewall off

turning your firewall off is not really recommended incase you have any trojens on your pc, it is better to configure the firewall the correctly to be safer.

got it back up and running somehow i had nightmist on the blocklist and didnt know it lol ::) thanx i was about to get mad about it lol
