Everytime I logon a character he gets logged off right away.  Everytime, I don mean once in a while; no no, EVERYTIME!  Anyways, I really hate logging on 3-4 times to finally get it to work.  Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Hmm, I have the problem of being on a few crits and if I went to log onto another it'd log off. I have my name and pass set on auto login.. so, it's much easier. I don't know what else to do.. as to prevent it from happening.

I was having the same problem. What happens for me is this. I log into the account and onto a crit. As soon as i log on the crit logs off. And i have to relog the crit again. It was doing that about everytime i went to log on for a while. Dunno if its been fixed or not.

I personally don't get the problem but the person who uses the comp that is the server in my house always does. I've heard JLH say a couple of times over quite a long time "If i knew what-where the bug was, i'd get straight onto fixing it."

just to the shortcut add accountname/pw to it like

"d:\games\nigtmist\nightmst.exe wonderful_nightmare/jurian123"

where wonderful_nightmare is my account name and jurian123 is my pw :D

And no this is not my real account and pw :D

to break it down:

go to the nm symbol right click on it... go to properties and then after this "d:\games\nigtmist\nightmst.exe wonderful_nightmare/

wonderful would be replaced with your username
and your password you need to type in right after

The auto login can be detected by hackers guys.  All they need to do is send your computer a trojan and wham! They not only have an open port to your computer and can access all your files, but they can also, if they play NightMist, get into your account because they'll get the account name and password.  Once they have that, all they have to do is sign into your account, take your gold, all your items and either delete your crits, or sell them.  Yes I hate the disconnect/reconnect over and over but at the same time, at least I don't just hand over my account name and password by placing it into readable files.

So you have to weigh out the two evils.  Those claiming they had their accounts hacked and people screaming that they had to have given out their account names and passwords, that's not necessarily true.  I kinda wonder how many of them had the auto login done.

Yes, the multi-task has been bothering me too. I would log on 3 or 4 crits, and 75% of them would log. I use Auto-Login, so iun really care anymore..

that only works if your stupid enpough to accept files from ppl you don't know :D

edit: well maybe ppl you do know but aren't sure if you can trust them (like anyone on this game :D since i don't know yu ppl irl i won't accept any executable file or jar or whatever from anyone of you :d )

Tell me then, what FUN is that for the person who got robbed? Personally I think anyone who is known for stealing stuff should be banned...if not permanently, then at least for a week or more.

I pride myself on being an honest person on this game. I've had Proteus give me his Inquisitor's Ring, Rings of the Wise, Blade of Time, Amulet of Lag Protection and Wooden Clogs and given it all back. Just the other day Kazuya let me see his Emerald Dagger.

I would never take what is not rightfully mine. I frown upon all people who steal from others.

i have to admit, and im being really honest.  a shamefull time of my life was where i stole 3 crits.  Isyng banned me from the game perminatly.  of course, i found a way back in, but by then the situation had been sorted out, and it was all forgotten.  i was quite suprised to still have my archs all with their shining spiked armor and hallys  lol.  but just for a warning, stealing results in immediate banning, so please dont make the game funless (yes, funless  lol), for the rest of the players because you only get it back in your face worse.

ooh allways check anything i download for viruses i'm not even sure if it runs a scan automatically (got a cracked version of norton anti virus :D )

back to the subject at hand I get a error message too when I log on to fast and some times when I don't here is the mesage

Whenever i download anything (be it is off of a site, or from a person) my virus checker scans it thoroughly, tells me it is ok and scans it one more time for safety matters.

Normally, things from sites (unless the file was posted there by an anonpmyous user) is safe. Stuff from a person computer can be..and it can't be. If someone has a .exe on their computer, and their computer has a virus, there is a possibility that, that .exe could have a virus on it.

The point of me telling you this, Don't accept any execute/application files from just people. IT COULD KILL YOUR COMPUTER!!
