my nm wont connect to the server it just sits there and says connect . i change the ports and stuff and it still wont work and yes i am connected to the internet

1) try start - run - regsvr32 richtx32.ocx

if that don't work :D

2) download the client from
http://www.nightmist-online.co.uk/nmsite/files/nightmst.exe

I sometimes get that as well, i restart my comp, that usually does it.
