I am on a different computer. I have installed nightmist but when I try to log on all it does is says connecting and nothing else. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong or what I need to do to get the game to work? I also tried downloading the exceutable versions as well but it did nothing. I am afraid I am in need of some major help. This is what I get for knowing nothing about computers. lol.

This computer also uses windows xp does that have something to do with it?

click options, then alternate port.

it just works just fine for me with win xp :D but maybe you ahve some firewall settings on that are messed up :d

(i'm not on my own comp here so the following might be wrong)

start>settings>connection options>"something">advanced.

jlh would prolly know the exact thing but if you understand a little of what i just said you owuld get your firewall options :D

On the topic of the client sayig "Connecting" and then never doing anything, could a time-out message be added?

it should have one, on 10 seconds (maybe 20).

yeah there is one that shows something about try diff dns/diff port
