Everytime i click an icon on my computer since i upsted nm, turns my link into a shortcut to open nightmist. Now the only links i can get to work are msn (when i sign on instead of it opening a webpage it opens nightmist), recycle bin, and my computer. Since aim autimatically signs on, I now have to get all my friends to link me to a page. Can someone help me correct this problem.

every shortcut on your pc loads nightmist?!?
since this is very weird, i'm going to move towards the possibility of some sort of virus, do programs open normally if you run:
my computer, c:\, program files, internet explorer, iexplore.exe
if that still loads nightmist, then the executable file association has been changed, i have seen and cured machines with this virus before, but it is an annoying one, before starting to explain all that, does the above path load internet explorer?

yeah it does. But I found out what was wrong, i did have a virus which my stupid friend sent to me to have fun. anyways it changed all the paths to open nightmist when they opened. Anyways he's not a friend anymore and i have a new problem, which is whenever i click the nm icon it makes me download it from my own computer, why it does this i am baffled.

well nm will download when it finds a file is missing if you have the exe some where else and the files arn't there it will download them other then that who knows try a complet uninstall and reinstall you prob. need to any how

well its a shortcut on my desktop, and when i open it, it downloads from the other part of my computer.

yea well it sounds like it thinks that where the short cut is is where the game is supose to be so check the short cut try makeing a new one if that don't work reinstall
