I know that many people have been suggesting classes, mostly undead. But I have a great class that might be great for the nightmist world. I have suggested the monk class and I thought it was descent and made have made some things a little over powering, but I'm sure this would be right.

Class: BattleMage
Race: the same as Clerics or Mages.

Attacking:
Can carry weapons as fighters used.
Can wear Armor as fighters.
Has the same damage table as the fighter.
Has the same Hp table as the fighter.

Magika:
Can cast spells as mages do.
Does about Half the damages normal spells do.
Same tables for casting (fizzles and such).
Has the same Mp table as the mages.

Abilities:
Every spells for mages.
***new spells***
Increased strength (Same as the Paladins technique, but only on self) @ lvl 15
Defensive Aurora (Improves your chance of dodging/blocking attacks)* @ lvl 20
Detect Magika (Improves your Chance of dodging/absorbing spells)* @ lvl 20
Bound Weapon (adds +2 to base damage for 1-2min.)** @ lvl 23

*- It can be cast on party but only one is allowed to be casted!
**-only on self

U joking right? Whats the point in having a fighter then if it can do everything fighter can + half a mage + some new spells...?

Everyone would want one, I mean a lvl 1 owning arches who wouldn't. (ok slight exageration but still).

Yup, that would become my main. I would have a level 30 battlemage with a Blade of Time, 6 stamina. 105ac x 2.5 with AoP = 262 approx, and haste back for 5 stamina, every round. Also would increase base damage, and increase my strength....awesome.

lol... oops.. sorry... nyquil was kicking in.... I meant to put down Half fighter and Half mage, not full fighter and half mage.

Still you would need weaker spells and less armour and then it would not ok low stam gain rate and not 6 stam.

right. but still fighter/mage. pallys are holy, and fighters are not. there are already enough healers on the game so it will be too much. Also getting on everyone nerves. The battlemage weapons can go up to lvl 15 fighter weapons. armor could go up lvl 25 and the same with spells.

Sounds to me like you have an idea you just havent worked out the bugs yet. Keep thinking so I'll have a reson to check this thread again.

I think that is what he did, that is the main reason I dislike the idea. I think mages need work but they should not be all powerful.
