Title: 2 Handed Weapons Post by Tetsusaiga on 01/15/04 at 15:10:24 A sword with increased attack but no shield is allowed.(not much a problem for zerkers, although it may overpower them even more) Another idea while sitting in computer class. |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by alone on 01/15/04 at 15:12:58 Bad idea.. If you brought in two handed weapons.. The Halberd would have to change, as it is actually a two handed weapon itself :P |

How does that make it a bad idea? Making the halberd a two handed weapon is actually good, not bad. If you really did try to wield it with one hand I expect your damage would be around the 20s... |

Think how it's make fighters even worse than they are now.. No shield = less armour = people complaining cus of it. If I had the time I'd think oif a way around it. But I have over 50 pages of work to type up by tomorrow.. So I'm kinda short for time right now :P |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by sayadin on 01/15/04 at 16:49:39 what about having weapons for both hands... i know the rubber knife is not a one hande thing.... you know have a sword or anything else in one hand and have something else in the other.... it would do more damage and it will put that one arm we never used to good use. But weapons that are long such as the Halberd or the pike should be in both hands since it is long and it requires the usuage of both hands to make succesful attacks and not wobbly and off. |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by Stotic on 01/15/04 at 17:10:00 I have answered to this suggestion at least 5 times. It simply doesn't balance. More bd is worth more than more armor. I'm sure anyone would lose the handful of armor for the 5+ bd. |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by sayadin on 01/15/04 at 17:15:14 Well if they use 2 weapons then it should do a -20 to armor, since your hands are occupied with weapons and can't blocked. Plus they can't have a shield on them if they equip two weapons... would that balanced the force or should there be a whole lot more to it? |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by Quarrel on 01/16/04 at 19:04:05 lol the Only Class that i could see Even being allowed to wear 2 weapons is the Zerker cuss he wears no armor anyways and would use up the shield spot in the Berserkers Armor/ item/weapon equpited screen. Can you imagine a zerk with two halberds?? Gahh talk about ownage.. |

I disagree.... zerkers are very powerful and yes it would fit the picture but they would unstoppable... I think it should only effect Fighters, Paladins, Druids, Clerics, Thieves, |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by Quarrel on 01/16/04 at 22:35:54 rofl maybe But its usually the barbarian that is able to equipt Two weapons and the only barbarian class we got is Berserker. |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by Thenobleone on 01/17/04 at 01:46:59 it would be perfect for a theif as well becuase they would get a more effective assasinate with 2 daggers. As if you go back to d&d theivs aka rogues can use 2 daggers at one time to be more effective. |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by prodigy on 01/17/04 at 02:41:55 I believe two handed weapons won't work unless it is for zerkers only. If this is to be the case then they should not only have increase damage but they should be negative to your armor as well. You can only give a class so much power, game has to equal out in some way. :) |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by Id on 01/18/04 at 00:00:40 simply take out the 2x damage using zerker and make it normal damage. Berzerk now simply is a fast attack. When use 2 weapon..it would make them attack twice with 1 stam...thus doing 2 x the hits when berzerk and would not overpowering them. Damage would stay the same. What is the point you ask? weapon's effects my friend. Having 2 weapon mean you can halve both effect...which mean you can do poison damage+leeching hp at the same time (more combo if the creators wanted to add more effects) |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by Nemesis on 01/18/04 at 12:27:10 so your saying that they should hit twice per 1 stam?! jesus, suicide or what. avg attack with zerk is bout 80-90 at lvl 25 yeh? well thats 425 (85x5) damage on avg if you hit that everytime...well if its 2 hits for one stam, then it will do double that damage, whihc is 850 damage....only place a zerk can hit for that is with a torch, with rage, and smiting something in the swamps....bad idea |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by Id on 01/18/04 at 20:18:43 basically what I'm saying is tone down berzerker's damage before letting him equiping 2 weapon. |

Title: Re: 2 Handed Weapons Post by sayadin on 01/19/04 at 20:57:21 Ummm.. ok first of all, Beserkers have no armor... and i don't think anyone can have a negative(-) armor. So when beserkers equip 2 weapons their Dex goes down. The same for other classes. |
