Since Charisma is the ability to influence other to make them do what you want, i think with should effect the prices of items your buying from shops. because the more you are liked and could influence the shopkeeper, the lower the price would be.

I could just roll a character with high charisma and have him buy all the things for me.

umm Char is very important for Clerics/paladins/pacifists. It Determins the Ammount of hp you heal for each heal/aid/salve
Charisma Does have a purpose.

you ppl need to get it straight. it is not the char on the healer that affects the healing. it is the char on the person that is beeing healed that affects the healing.

if i have a crit with 20 char and 1 with 7 char i will heal the crit with 20 char for more then the one with 7 char regardless of my clerics stats.

char is also used for hypno and resisting hypno :D

Although!!!!! Charisma does make a difference when training... as in healing mobs....
