Title: To Make Dg more challenging. Post by Quarrel on 01/11/04 at 10:10:04 Just thought. Since he commands an army of undead Shouldnt he be able to summon Demonic soldiers to aid him in battle? Or maybe he can spawn with Demonic General guards that drop 5k gold each.( He spawns with 2 Dggs (Dgg = Demonic General Guards) Dgg's should have 4times the hp of regular Demonic solders. |

I'm all for having him spawn monsters. |

Post by dognapot on 01/12/04 at 02:26:30 i was thinking along the same lines. to make him tougher, you don't need to modify the boss at all. just squares around him. 1. make it so only crits lvl 20+ can enter 2. make it so only 8 crits can be in there at a time. 3. make it so no one can leave the square while he is alive. directly making the monster itself more challenging is not going to work. ever. giving it more hp or minions only make it more exclusive because no matter how much power the boss has nightmist is able to meet it and raise it signifigantly. |

Not with a Thunder Clap but with like a "Ten Hut" or " Demonic Soldier Lets out a Battle Cry that Spawns 2 demonic soldiers". he can respawn the Demonic Soldiers every 30 secs. He cnt respawn more then 4 Demonic soldiers at a time. |

With Dg hitting for70's and 4ds's hitting for 30's each it would be very difficult To concentrate on Dg. Well mybe not on the same Square as Dg. on the Squares leading to the Dg. There can be like a Front line (4ds's) second line(5ds's) third line (2dgg) of Demonics then you reach Dg. (Demonic General Guard has 4 times the hp that Ds's have and hit twice as hard. and have 2 stamina each. Would make The Dg Hard to get too.) Ds's have around 400 - 500hp each. x4 means Dgg's have 2k hp each and hit for 60+dmg with 2 stamina each.( Dgg's can drop 900 gold each making them Worth killing.) And then Dg can Spawn there with 2- 3dgg's with him. Making the Halberd as A Really hard Weapon to get. |

Post by dognapot on 01/12/04 at 06:04:13 you can't set the bar high enough that nightmist isn't already capable of passing. your idea is nothing (surprise surprise) that alts can't solve. simply piling on more monsters makes the boss exclusive to a smaller amount of people (who won't be challenged). however, with a smaller selection of sellers, actually getting a halberd may become more challenging. |

Post by dognapot on 01/12/04 at 08:02:12 the dg can never be made hard enough that nightmist won't adapt to with ease. all that would accomplish is that fewer people would sell halberds and the halberd's value would raise even more. don't you get it? there's nothing wrong with the general or his soldiers, but there is something wrong with the way we all attack him: in humungous groups. if you make him tougher, it just means there's a larger group, but if you narrow the halls and put a capicity on his room, then you have a real challenge. |
