Title: /add alt friend
Post by Claw on 01/07/04 at 13:45:35
With this command, /add alt friend, it would take all the friends on all your alts and add them to your friendlist, because it is a hassle to add all of your good friends you your friendlist, especially if you have a lot.  Just a suggestion, but I think it would be a great addition to the game  :P

Great Idea! Maybe a different code, but I think they should have this there, I can't say how many people are on different friends lists of mine...

I support it, but preferibly (sp?) with a different command.

Players laziness amazes me.

Why make JLH spend 5 hours coding this when it will only take players 30 seconds to type it out once every couple months when there lists get cluttered.

yea, i don't like the idea either.

I doubt very much that this would take 5 hours to code.. lol

I don't like it either.
1. What if some people just dont want you to know all thier crits?
2. With the number of alts people have now, imagine what /friend would look like.

i can see the usefullness in this at times, if you use /friend to talk to lots of people, and say you've just rolled a new crit, instead of /friend'ing everyone again, you could just use the command.

I support it

And then? Whoever you added won't add you cause they didn't see it...prolly cause they aren't on  ::)

Shockingly simple solution:

Tell them personally when you next see them online!

Title: Re: /add alt friend
Post by Morph on 01/07/04 at 20:33:27
Thats the same as just adding them when you see them next online?

this is how i uderstand it. you have 50 ppl on your friend list. /friend alt put the list on all your alts so you c clan chat for the same ppl on all your alts.

how hard is that to understand? why would you have to tell them that you added them? you just c what they say on all your alts and then you reply with you crit that's on their friend list.

look i use 13/14 alts most of the time i don't use friend chat because i don't c the messages on all my crits just on my main and i don't want to add everybody to all my alts (seeing i have over 50 diff crits) /friend alts or something would allow me to use friend chat withouth having to add every single person to my friend list on every alt.

i don't c the problem. if i know someone doesn't ahve my alt on their friend list i just reply with my main :D

Cause it will, like you said, also add ppl that aren't online atm. And how will they know you added them? Maybe by telling them wqhen they are on, but that takes as much time as just adding them when they are online..

Besides you must be mad to wanne have all alts of someone on your friend list...thats so gonna get messed up

I see a lot of post about this just showing the lazyiness in ppl in this game... Well you see, its not laziness, its an easier solution.  And also, its kind of hard to catch ppl when there online...

it;s not their alts your adding! it's the different friends you have on your own alts will all be put together on your crits friend list!

Read...i never said that.

You said yourself you don't have a friendlist cuz you wouldnt keep track, so you'll add everyone to all of your alts. that means whoever you'll add will have all your alts on his friendlist

supreme: Chester has been added to your friend list.
chester: You have no-one on your friend list.

what you on about? if i add you it doesn't mean i'm on your friend list too.

Post by Morph on 01/08/04 at 14:05:35
Thats the one who you are adding on all your alts...

Like if you would add me on all your alts, then i would have 14 more on my friend list who are all the same person. No way i will add that..

if you add someone to your enemy/friend list, it tells them that you did it, but does not put you on their list.

do you finally get it morph?

Title: Re: /add alt friend

k im getting sick of you being a moron so i'll explain very clearly now? okey, still with me?
  • Main, Alt1, Alt2, Alt3, Alt4. << thats you.

  • OnlineFriend. << thats who you will add who is online.

  • OfflineFriend. << thats who you will add who isn't online.

If you would do '/add alt friend' on all your alts. That means OnlineFriend gets the messages:

  • You have been added to Main's friend list.
You have been added to Alt1's friend list.
You have been added to Alt2's friend list.
You have been added to Alt3's friend list.
You have been added to Alt4's friend list.

So that means he 'has' to add them all, and it will clutter op his friendlist with all your alts.

And not only that, but all your alts will also add the one who isn't online (OfflineFriend). But he isn't online, so he will never know you added him to all your alts. So you have to tell him that, but then it would be easier to just have waited till he really was on and then add him, so he could've seen it.

why would he have to? it's not a rule or anything. it just means that i have to reply to him with the crit that is on his friend list.

I put it in ". But thats the point of adding someone right? So they add you...or what would be the use of it if they didn't...

golly morph, what is your problem with this? it seems to be fine idea...If you add an offline friend, when they log on again, go to your other alt and tell them that if they want to, add his alts to his list...

Title: Re: /add alt friend

lol the point is that if you use 14 crits at the same time like me and you can only read what someone sais on one crit it gets annoying but if you can read everything they say on all your alts it's easier (use /t)
