How about this then!

  • No Weapons (Fist damage increases as you lvl up, more than normal that is..).
  • No Armor (Except amulets & the like) (Armor increases like the pacifists).
  • More Hp than a fighter, less than a Zerker.
  • Less damage than a fighter or a zerker, about the same as a theif, or a ranger.
  • Spells = Yes, but few... useing mind & meditation...
  • Group/party or clan? = Yes.
  • Alts?: I would like to say only 2 signed on at a time (includeing this one) but I don't know if that'd be posible... I'll leave this one up to you guys... personally, I'd say just one/time, or... only 2... but idk if that's posible...
  • Attack Other ppl? = No.
  • Be attacked = Yes / No...


    Spells List:
  • Meditate: Gains HP over a period of time (without moveing from the one square)
    MP Cost:  0 Mp.
    Duration:  X (As long as you stand in the same square...)
    Other:This can be disrupted, if sombody walks into your square (or leaves it) then a % would be if you loose conventration.

  • Focus:  Your Str, and Dex increase for a short ammount of time.
    MP Cost:  5 Mp.
    Duration:  2 min's.
    Other:<Cannot think of any... it's like the spell 'Enhance' but + to dex as well...>

  • Pray:  A 'Medium' Healing spell, able to be cast on self/others.
    MP Cost: 9 Mp.
    Other:  Heals for about 45-74 (depending on Cha.)


    Abilitys
  • Peace:  Adds the ablity of damage 'reflection' onto a target (self/other)...
    Other:  Like the Pacifist ability, but in 'Monk' Format. ;)  (Damage given to the attacker is half'ed.)


I hope that this one will work...  I think it'll be good...

Not in most traditional rpgs, no.

But this is never going to be considered because he just keeps posting it over and over again with little to no thought put into the idea...

Accually, I already had one of those two typed up.  And, second of all, I've only suggested the monk twice. (and thats because they were mostly diffrent class types.. ::).)

I so agree, the monks in d&d were fun to play. And no, monks are not clerics, they are trained warriors with clerical abilities...to call one a cleric is to call a pally a cleric!

Also monks would have more stamina than anyone else in game, I think 10 stam at level 30 , would be about comparible...but I agree wth all the other suggestions. ::)

First off 10 stamina at lvl 30 is insane, And I really hope you didnt want that taken seriously...

Second of all, where are you guys getting the whole 'monks have clerical abilities' idea you keep going on about...

There are two types of monks really... the ones with the amazing fightings skills, and martial arts with the powers to bandage any wound for faster healing using special salves and such

And then there are the ones that are specialized in the healing herbs, salves, plants, etc. They can heal wounds yes, but not in the traditional 'clerical' sense, they increase regeneration of wounds, they dont instantly heal them.

I can only see the first one being playable in the nightmist world, because really who wants to wait half an hour for their health to come back... thats right, next to no one.

Why does everyone continue to post about new classes? Just because you post more than once doesn't make JLH or Pandilex change their mind. If they want a class, they'll impliment one, if they don't, then they won't.

I remember when most everyone was happy with how the game was run. No one complained that they needed a new class and race, no one was all "i need this and i need that."

I quit and come back, there is a whole new generation of noobs in the game that think they can run the game 3x's better and have ideas that will improve the game 3x's as much.

they are just suggesting a classes... they are not saying to create one... big difference... and by giving more info about the class it makes the suggestion more interesting..
