Title: healing bosses Post by Jurian on 10/11/03 at 20:41:57 ok i just ran into some person who was doing a hit and run on captain wylsen. now you ppl prolly know that he heals just like some other bosses. the thing that strikes me as stupid is that he doesn't heal if there's nobody on the square with him. (just like all the other healing bosses) example: your beeing attacked and you can heal yourself. if your attackers left you for a few secs. wouldn't you heal yourself? why only heal yourself when your attackers are with you? i guess this idea won't be popular cuz you ppl can't hit and run the healing bosses anymore then but it does make sense. so i suggest: make bosses that can heal, heal themselves even if they are alone on a square. |

don't think that's what i did all the time? it just don't think ppl that don't have the power to kill a boss "the fair way" shouldn't be able to kill it. i know this idea won't be popular but can't say it doesn't make sense |

why not? if it was too easy the game would be filled with "rare" items. it's supposed to be hard so the game doesn't get flooded with special items. |

Title: Re: healing bosses Post by Stotic on 10/11/03 at 22:12:09 Monsters are designed to only take action when others ar in the room. The monster technically doesn't exist until someone comes onto the square to activate/reactivate it. |

Title: Re: healing bosses Post by Jurian on 10/12/03 at 08:30:51 love how this went off topic after 6 or 7 replies. really impressive how you menaged to get from healing bosses to the light in the dryer. and if the boss doesn't exist when nobody is there it shouldn't "exist" wounded suddenly when you move back on the square. it doesn't make sense. and the thing is that "the boss not existing" can be changed. |

Title: Re: healing bosses Post by CaSSiuS on 10/14/03 at 10:43:33 I think Jurian has a point here the bosses should be able to heal themselves(only the ones that can heal during a fight)when nobody is on the square |
