Title: Chat lock
Post by CPG on 09/21/03 at 21:02:42
A lot of times, I just wish I could make it so my crits can't talk, just use commands.

My idea is as follows.
/chat lock
Prevents your crit from talking in any way until you unlock it (/chat unlock).
This is helpful in several situations.
As a covert Thief, it is rather difficult to deal with accidentally hitting a button and revealing yourself. Also, if you are in an argument with someone and you just can't keep yourself from starting up again, this command would be quite useful. Or if you just get annoyed by ss ww dsf and stuff like that heh.

Rather pointless command that can just be solved by 'controlling one's self'.

Well, I mean, I use a Thief a lot. Most of the time I am moving around covert, looking for people. It's not fun when you accidentally hit something and your victims run off because they know you are there. Also, when I was playing, my nephew started hitting the keyboard while I was stalking people.

"Oh well."  I've made the doomed mistake countless times also.  Its just like accidentally sneezing or stuttering noise.

using macros to move around usually prevents hitting a wrong key . . .

Consider it like rl accidentally bumping into something. Next thing u want is that the thief moves by itself and u can just sit by and watch.

I think it is lenient the way it is.  A thief should come out of covert completely if they make the mistake of saying something.  I mean... YOU blew your cover.   :P
