Through my NM career I guess you'd say, i've encountered several people wanting to conduct trades, however, there's not usually any staff on, that's uncloaked or not busy, and have asked me to moderate a trade for them. I suggest you tag people that can be trusted, and have proven themselves trustworthy moderating trades and never stealing items as a Trustee, or something of the sort. They can be mortal and normal crits that can be seen online by typing /trustees, or / whatever you choose they should be entitled, and they can take the place of a trade watching staff, until the automated trade system comes into affect anyway. Just a thought from the noggin, let me know some opinions please. :)

lol well automated trading is going to be in and i think i asked zephie once if it was worth my time if i looked over someone elses trade but think she said i wasn't enough proof (sp?) and couldn't do anything when it went wrong.

(btw i totally forgot who told me that so if it's not zephie don't get pissed at me lol)

staff have the ability to see all crits transfered from one account to another . . . thats how they know if a trade has been conducted fairly . . . normal players dont have this ability

IF the Trade System wasn't going to be implamented, I think this would be a great idea.

Trustee's may not be able to do anything, but I'm sure they could report any mis-trades to Staff, so they -could- do something. If Staff couldn't trust them enough, then they wouldn't be trustee's. I'm sure JLH could make a list of on-line trustee's, for tades, but I myself wouldn't want to be bothered from doing what I do to over-see a trade. If you can find people that want to, then it's a good idea.

I can't tell you how many times people have messaged me on either NM or AIM needing help with trades. I make sure both parties agree and know that I am NOT staff and I can't do much more than hold items/gold to be transferred to another person. In the even of a crit trade, I hold the items, wait for the crit to be transferred..make sure the buyer says it's ok and then give the items to the seller. I've been training before and asked to help. Doesn't bother me much. I've done several trades lately. I did one earlier today involving a cobalt.. .for .. a lotta crits and a lotta dexies n stuff. I had about 15 mil in items on me, and gave it to the people trading. :) Not everyone out there is a theif. With item trades...well thats easy.. .money... item.. swap... Weee! :D
