I was thinking that under the Look command, you should be able to personalize your description. Sorta like in D&D where you have to write the entire description from scratch.

But instead of it just popping up every time you looked someone over it would say something like.

Nexgen is a Male Halfling Adept Thief. He looks strong, smart, extremely fast, and cute. In one hand he holds a Crystal Knife, the other a Steel Bracers. He is wearing an Ironweed Doublet, and a Studded Helm protects his head. Around his neck sits a Copper Amulet. He is wearing a Ring of Windia, and Centipede Gloves on his hands. His feet are protected by Crocodile Skin Boots. He is a member (~Bean~) of Broken and he is in a healthy condition. He also has a custom description you can read with /read Nexgen.

This could be a new option under the character options. I was just really wanting to write a description for my character.  :)

Yeah, I was thinking about this when I was also thinking.

There should be like 10 different weapons with pike-like damage, that sell for the same amount of cash etc. etc. Same with all weapons. That way characters would be much less generic if they were not equipped with questies...

Same with armor, and such...

It would be really awesome  :)

that's prolly the reason why it's gonna be shot down.

staff can't be bothered to check like 500+ crits for what they got in their description.

For every word that is inapropriate? Thats gonna take some time to do, and there are always ways around that.

A swear filter isnt a hard thing to do, and IF you get around it you get banned, Now isnt that simple!

Its sad that you people even feel the need to put innapropriate material in these... Its even worse that the idea could be shot down for that sole purpose alone...

What is this world coming to....

Edit: Hey wait a minute.... wasnt this the general arguement behind something about clan room descriptions or something? And that Idea was looked at by staff.

I have a feeling JLH will never consider it. Simply for that fact that there are alot of young people who play this game, and most of them are too young to know proper grammer. I have a feeling he fears people typing out descriptions that have too many errors and it will get annoying to others who are constantly reading it ...so ...By not allowing this would be saving him alot of complaints.
Also ...it would save the person with the description from getting terribly offended. lol.

So you dont see it every time you look someone over. You only read it if you wish too. And really thats almost the same thing as giving your pass away *Just bear with me here for a second, dont go barreling off making a post about how it isnt like that at all* Your the one who chooses to do it, so you cant complain if you find something you dont like in it.

Of course when I say that I mean like grammar, and stuff like that. Inappropriate material should be removed of course :)

But anyhow, JLH Was on the forums earlier, posted on two other topics in this forum, and didnt post here. So I'm guessing thats an unofficial 'No'

  There are people who abuse Profiles, and Staff try their best to have them remove it.  This would be no different.

  Just because you can add your own text in something doesn't mean it'll be abused, and if it is-- Staff can force them to remove 'naughty' words.  Then again, I'm sure that they would to keep Character Descriptions in their own Fantasy-Based world, so this may be a problem.
