There'd really be no purpose.. when they have /toggleloc on.

You should be able to see where your friends are.  People may try and /friend you for the purpose of killing you-- so don't friend someone you don't know-- Simple.

Hmm...
Okay, how about if the command only gave you their location if you're on their friends list too (like having their name light up with the '/friend' command. :D)

well pandilex or JLH or Stotic if you read this, send me a message on what you think

I really don't see the point of doing /friend loc and seeing (Hidden)... Even if the (Hidden) was removed and showed the location, I have a ton of people on my friend list whom I have no idea are, as I know many others do as well.  Sure it's easy to say "If someone tries to pk you just remove them" but what if it wasn't directly that person on your friends list, but just them who gave someone else your location?  Having this feature would really be more hassle than it's worth.

i don't really see the point of the idea

I guess you're right.  I guess if a friend is attacked, then of course, they would have to quick in asking for help-- thus, leaving them unable to give a clear answer.  By /friend loc, atleast you get their general location.  Basically the same for /clan loc.
Just for example, I'm sure there are other uses for it.

Yah umm well I wouldn't really want all my friends to know where I am either. But it was a clever idea...

i dont get it? pacifist what

Title: Re: /friend loc
Post by Valos on 09/17/03 at 23:11:27
Most peple who use Pacifists, don't get much activity in their clan (BECAUSE THEY CAN"T JOIN ONE WICH SUX!)  Anyways...  they'd use the friend's list and just add ppl from their clan (but you can't get everybody from your clan on it... it's just not posible with all the changed that happen dayly with members...) but, you can use the '/friend loc' option as you would if you were in the clan, but... get most of your clan members on the list...

AAAAAAHHHHHHHH YES that is a very good idea!

Title: Re: /friend loc
Post by Vodka on 09/18/03 at 00:58:32
I agree with Vampyre, there could be those type of people who would tell someone else your location. I'm not for this idea.. as I believe JLH has agreed to himself.

Yea, but coulden't that person just page you too... woulden't that do the same thing?.. (Granted, you don't have to page them back, but you don't HAVE TO add them to your friends list either...  :P  )

Either way, the other person could end up opening up their trap to someone else. All you gotta do is ask them where they are and if they don't answer, ah well.. I guess they didn't want/need your help.

*nods* because pandilex might like it and if he does then it will prob become part of game
