Title: WTG Button
Post by Tanis on 08/24/03 at 15:20:08
Have you ever been sitting in your clan house, just relaxin' drinking a bud, when someone pops up with a
"You have increased to level 12, gained 9 hp and gained 11 mana points." or whatnot, and so you say "wtg" or "congrats".

Well, I think that you should just have a little button, that has "wtg" or "congrats" on it by your screen.

And make the text optionable, and changable. So you could have it say the ever so popular "n00b!" or "Pandilex R NoobEH".

Don't look past this post, it's going places baby.

So it's kind of like a customisable emote? But in button form rather than typing...

* moves his cursor over the new WTG tab.

*click* WTG
*click* WTG
*click* WTG
*click* WTG
*click* WTG
*click* WTG

I like it. Makes life easy. Good idea ;)

The emote part specific, isn't really it.

It's like an automated message, but it can be an emote if you programmed it to be.

Normally for a Clan chat: WTG! it'd be "/setbutton1 #WTG!", then you press button 1 and it says "WTG!"

But if you wanted it to be something else, say an emote. "/setbutton1 /kiss Pandilex" then yeah, you get the idea.

And no Pandilex, I will not use my first button for you.

Why dont u just use your macros? they're customizable
just set it for WTG! or #WTG!

it all works, why just create more programming?

Because, unlike you, I use my macro's for other things. More important things.

Theres 12 slots.. surely all of them aren't filled?

They are.

And truthfully, if they weren't, they could be.

What do you use that little space beside the "Look Around" button for? Hmmm? That's right.... nothing.

I like it . . . an emotes room . . . perhaps 5 or 6 different word buttons that give you a clan chat line . . .

Another popular one is . . "where"

Let me get this straight.. you're asking for more macro's, just ones that you can click on instead of assigning a key to, and make them so they only work for normal chat?

Enlighten me as to what the point is? surely it would be easier just to ask for more macro's(like ctrl+whatever key to do some action), they're multifunctional and not a fraction as retarded as this idea.

I'm not even going to get into how retarded the word 'NoobEH' is.

I do use enter. I was just taking the piss out of his retarded idea saying that nobody uses the look around button.

Well here, Isyng. Let me point it out for the moronicly inclined.

I WASN'T SERIOUS. IT WAS A JOKE. I WAS BORED. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT. OH WELL. THANK YOU.

There, I figured the caps and the non-semi-hidden hints would help you understand.

Oh, and to the idiot named Alex, who obviously can't read. Notice the words "Beside the Look Around button" in my post?

See Alex, that means the slot NEXT TO IT.

Oh, sorry I forgot, we're all flame-retards here and have to be cool by trying to tear apart a post like your, so bewildering self. You're an array of great, power Alex. Because you can flame.

Please, you guys couldn't take a hint if I wrote it out on a little notecard and handed them out before I posted.

How about a button in the Boars Tusk in with the value "/yell Pandilex, i nedd yur helpp my account gots hakked by sum1 afta i gave them my pass"? Appearently that is the most commonly used phrase lately.  ;)

Isyng? No he is not. But you do have a point saying anyone who didn't get that it was a joke is moronically inclined.
