Well, since lots of ppl have trouble rolling 'perfect' stat crits, i think i thought of a way to get to perfect stats...i guess.

I think it would be cool if, when u get to arch, u can choose to go back to lvl 1 (if u want) and gain 1 point to add to one of your stats. plus, since you go back to lvl 1 there should be some kind of exp multiplier, so you get more exp faster than the first time u got to arch, but not too much faster.

i.e: (im gonna use easy #'s) instead of getting 10 exp every hit you get 15, or even 20 (so its like .5, or even double times what you used to get before you went back to lvl1). And this would multiply a little bit each time you reach arch and do this 'reset'

But you would only be able to reach the maximum stats for whatever race u r. i.e: Human:19 19 19 19 19 19; Dwarf: 21 18 18 21 18 17; etc.

but if u change your race from say fighter to thief, the stats go back to the way they were when u first rolled them.

i hope that wasnt too confusing...

this has been discussed before, but it's really rather pointless because of the fact that you can roll perfect stats.

True..But the stat ranges have changed over the time..possibly some of the older archies would like to have perfect stats etc, and Don't want to delete their crit. It would be a nice idea. Give the bored archies something to do. Be a crap load of work, but something to do nonetheless. Some people really don't have good luck with the roller. Myself included. I say if they want to take the time, let them. Comments JLH?

Its a bad idea, because that would be an advantage to the people who can train a alt from 1-30 in 4 days ( :o )

I've played for over two years and have yet to see a crit over the lvl of 27 in my account. ;) What can I say I'm slow. Hey, if a whole bunch of people want to sit at the computer for four days straight numerous times in a row to get a perfect statted crit with no showers and little food all the more power to em!

one of the ideas of when you 'reset' this way, is that training becomes slightly easier each time u do. but you dont have to if you dont want to. and i also c you r saying issy, but i think its kinda dumb that some ppl have so many stat modifying items that u cant hit them and even if u manage to you hit there armor, kuz many ppl dont have the money to buy these items...

really, if you have the time to level the same crit to archmaster over and over again, you're a moron to not roll the stats you wanted first. i mean, compare the amount of time it takes to level to 30 to the amount of time you'd spend rolling before you get a 4 stat crit, or 5 stat if you're that needy. do you think it would be more or less than 250 hours?

and aside from that, why should people who live and breathe NM be rewarded in-game more than they already reward themselves by devoting ridiculous amounts of time towards leveling?

I'd much rather leveling to rolling anytime.

Rolling is boring as hell, and training is slightly less boring.

That and the fact that rolling is based almost purely on the luck of the draw, and leveling isnt.

you make a good point dognapot, but if they did decide to do this, than ppl like you who dont mind rolling can keep rolling, and the ppl who dont like rolling can just train to get the stats they want. ;)
