Title: NPCs Post by Artemis on 07/17/03 at 00:57:23 For all you who don't know what NPCs are, examples would be the Windia Civilians, Hubert, the sarka Claudillian.. they walk and talk as normal players. But is it possible for an NPC to be more interactive? i.e being able to invite people to their party. Here's why i'm suggesting this. Say an area has a theme where you have to cross an ocean, lake, or rivier by boat. You go to the dock and give the boat driver (NPC) so many gp, and then the NPC uses /invite all to invite everyone on the square to join him on the boat. The command would look something like this from a players point of view: 'JohnDoe invites you onto his boat. Type /join JohnDoe to enter the boat.' Then the NPC leads the party of players across whatever body of water, and uses the /disband command. 'JohnDoe docks the boat and lowers the plank for your arrival.' or something, lol. I'm sure there's alot more that the NPCs could do, like help players kill a monster..shrug. What do you all think? |
