Title: Logging On Post by Sera on 07/11/03 at 04:15:02 I was just thinking of how much of a pain it is to have to log into your account for EACH crit you want to log into the game. I was thinking *yes again* that it would be nice if we could log into the account manager and mark each crit we want to log on, and then log them all on, rather than having to do it one at a time. |

Title: Re: Logging On Post by Deval on 07/11/03 at 05:45:03 I thought it was supposed to be implemented that the account manager would not close after logging each crit in, but would have to be manually closed down... Did this just get forgotten? Or was my mother smoking opium during my conception? |

Title: Re: Logging On Post by Medora on 07/11/03 at 08:06:21 Can already set auto log on where it logs into the account for you. For those that just have one account, right click your Nightmist icon, click properties. In the line where it says.."C:\Program Files\Nightmist\nightmst.exe" put a space after it, type account name/pass IE. "C:\Program Files\Nightmist\nightmst.exe" Blah/blah123. For those that have multiple accounts, make a few shortcuts on your desktop and then set them all. Thats for not having to type password everytime. I would love to see a thing where you can click the characters you want to log on, then them all log on. Even with auto log on its a pain in the behind to have to do it 8 times. |

Title: Re: Logging On Post by Sera on 07/11/03 at 08:09:40 Bad thing about autologin, if you get hacked, someone can get your password from doing that. That's why I don't use the autologin. I was thinking something along the lines of lil check boxes next to the names or something to chose which ones you want to log on, and then a button that says "Log on" and all of the checked chars will log on. |

I was thinking exactly the same thing a couple of days ago (not here to take credit, just pointing out why this is a bad idea). just giving an example, u log at some boss after uve run out of pots, buy them from the trading site, and log all ur crits back on at ones. And another, like when someone logs at a fight, and gets back with his entire party. |

Title: Re: Logging On Post by Sera on 07/11/03 at 21:20:28 Well, it is already set that if you log off at a boss it sends you to local...so logging off at bosses isn't a problem. I'm sure your thinking "well what if you just move away from the boss, then log, buy your pots/mana, then log back on" It happens anyway... Something you could do with that is to lock the boss square, like it is for the Crystal Giant. You can't leave until it's either A. Dead or B. You log and then you are sent to local anyway. I just thought this would make things a lot easier for when you want to log on a lot of crits. |

Title: Re: Logging On Post by Vodka on 07/29/03 at 17:18:05 Ohh, totally late response. I agree that it's annoying to have to keep opening your account screen when wanting to log onto numerous crits. I see that everyone has agreed to it.. so, why not add it... :P |

Title: Re: Logging On Post by Artemis on 07/29/03 at 17:45:00 In reply to Eternyte's & Sera's suggestions: Once you log on all your alts, the account manager closes and opens back up if one of your characters disconnects..right. Well then you still have the random connection losses that sometimes cause 2 or 3 of your crits to log off say 4-5 seconds apart. If this happens then the account manager will open again for every individual crit that logged off, which will only create the original problem all over again. Also, how would you expect the account manager to automaticly keep logging in like that over and over without you having to re-type your password or use auto-login? Unless you expect to keep the account manager open as a seperate window the whole time your playing which would only cause your computer to run less efficiently and use more resources. Not to mention the run-time error you get when the acct manager is open for too long after being inactive, causing it to close. Not trying to shoot you guys' ideas down, just wondering how you could do it and solve these problems aswell.. because if i had the choice to use auto login or have to deal with any of these, i'd stick with auto login..lol. |
