hmmm... i was thinking one day when i walked by the jail in nightmist .... why the hell theres a jail that isnt ever used     ( at least i dont know about it) ....and why does pk:ers that are criminals in all sense can come into town while they had killed just outside town a dozen n00bs... doesnt sound fair :-/.
i want justice,so i was thinking the following.....

Every time u kill a player ( or npc ... ) and somebody sees u ...then ur "count" would rise for instance +1 point per kill and this 1 point would mean a half an hour in jail ...if u get cought that is....so everytime ur count rises u turn for examble grey ( ur name that is ) and when u are grey and go to a town ( or a place wheres a guard ) the guard will attack u
......u can fight back but the guards should be strong enough to kill any player ( but they could be killed )....and when u are killed u awake at the jail where u have to be the time that ur "count" shows.

when u turn grey ( i.e every time u kill an innocent ppl)
u will be gray for a limited time for instance 5 min but ur count wouldnt chance until u get to jail ..... so i was thinking that guards should attack ppl that have like 5 count for instance.

The time that u have to be in a jail could reduce even if u are not online ( but u could reduce ur time by doing some work inside jail ....like hackin rocks or somethink )

.....hmmm.....is that all well i think it is,if u find anything to add or something to change right and tell. 8)

hmm the idea has something interesting but to my knowledge the jails are used to put crits in so they can't be used but a person is not banned (like having to change your profile).

I don't think pk'ing should be punished since it's just a part of the game.

And let's c if i travel with a group of 12 alts (as usual) and my party get's killed someone would get atleast 11+ time for the jail count thingy.

but i do agree that we could do something with that jail, maybe use it for collecting bounties or something.

yeh part of the game yes i know but it feels odd to have this feature.... that havent been developed more ..... what i mean is that ... the game allows u to make a murder but doesnt have the punishment part in it ( i think its odd dont u? )

and the long time being in jail doesnt mean that u have to be there that long ...like i said u could do work in there or bribe a guard to let u out or something.

....let me make a point that if u assasinate somebody u dont get the count.

....and maybe the crimes could forgotten after a time or u could have sime item that allows u "cloak" ur counts so that guard could not not see it .... for example "robe of night" or something. ;D

What would happen though, if some usually peaceful crit gets attacked first, turns around and pk's the pker? Technically it would be self defense, which shouldn't be punishable by law, yet that count you are talking about would go up, which wouldn't be fair.

ok..if somebody attacks u it turns grey and u can pk grey ppl without getting count ur self... 8)

u see theres allways a solution (thank god). ;D

Hmm this idea sparks an old idea I had that comes from the game of Tibia.  Only having certain safe spots and towns and having towns generally being pkable.  But in Tibia you have certain people role-playing as guards of cities protecting people who get attacked.  They also use big forces to kind of "take over cities" basically bu just pking the roleplaying guards and anyone else who tries to take it away from him.  It's an awesome day, but with the Nightmist pk=good style it'd be a longshot.

Stotics post reminds me of another game which had fun gaurds in it, Dransik. You could indeed kill people in town, (twas much funner killing other players innocent NPC's who were following them around, or thier wolves) but the guards would come running at you, but you could get away. Twas a good game, dunno how they did it, but hoards of monsters would raid cities and stuff, twas great fun. Everytime you killed someone tho, you would get more evil etc. Certain cities wouldn't allow criminals and such, and if you were caught by the gaurds and sent to prison (an hour is the usual sentence), you could shift stones and reduce your prison time by 15 minutes for every rock... man I shifted alot of rocks...
